This is just my opinon , but if you truly need the money now , put your efforts into selling else where. Most buyers here are in no hurry to buy and are looking to pay the least for the most. Don't get me wrong , i don't think you will find a better group of guys. Its just that most here are very knowledgeable about the ssr and are not afraid to show it. Sorry to hear about your mother and the hard decisions you have to make.

Without disparaging one of "New York's Finest", I couldn't agree with you more, slfwilrr. Its kind of humorous sometimes how the "cheerleaders" go on and on about how neat our trucks are. Its human nature, called PRIDE OF OWNERSHIP, and I don't mind it at all (there's probably a website somewhere where Hyundai owners are doing the same thing ), but just like in real estate the reality is WHAT THEY SELL FOR (in essence what the rest of the World thinks about our trucks).

However, there is a sticky about NOT commenting NEGATIVELY about the price of an SSR on sale in this forum. One of the reasons I seldom click on this particular forum.

I do also want to wish the OP a respectable and painless conclusion to his Mother's life. I've been through this with my Father and I can understand how painful these events are.

NYPD,

I wish you the best with your mother. Losing a parent is a difficult time.

We've had similar situations before with the price experts offering their free advice on the value of a specific SSR. As WearyEagle said, there's even a sticky about negative comments.

The real value will be the price the buyer and seller agree to. I do agree with the comments that the value will be higher once topless weather arrives. You only need one person to fall in love with it to get what you need to sell it for.

In the past I have sold things I didn't want to, just because I needed to. Sounds like you have a Pristine SSR and when the weather breaks, someone will want it.

Hang in there,

Very sorry to hear about your predicament! My mother was overcome by cancer a few years ago at the relatively young age of 64. That woman never smoked or drank a day in her life, didnt seem fair, but life rarely is. Just so you know, YOU are not responsible for your mothers medical bills, finances, etc. ..... all that can be written off when you settle her estate with an attourney.
