Price (value) is always a very subjective number. Because of PRIDE OF OWNERSHIP, the seller always thinks his truck is worth more than what the general purchasing public thinks its worth. The key, IMHO, with our trucks is to find that PARTICULAR buyer that wants your year, color, tranny and mileage. For what its worth, Souren's '04 recently sold for $16,750 ! ! This truck had 68k and was taken care of by the most anal person I know. Whatever that "baby" needed it got. Immaculate truck. Souren just didn't have the time or interest in "finding" that buyer. So somebody got a great deal.
A poster was once going on and on about how a '53 Vette had recently sold for $135,000 at an auction. What an investment he declared.
A much smarter poster corrected him in pointing out that the $3,500 that that Vette cost in 1953 put into Dow stocks at the time with dividends re-invested and not touched would be worth nearly twice as much today. Plus the stockholder wouldn't have any insurance, storage, maintenance, etc. associated with the "investment".
