05 Salvage

I also looked at that 05 Salvage ,was interested until I noticed that you would have a SALVAGE TITLE. I have a rear bumper cover and a complete set of chrome wheels the only thing to buy would be the 1/4 panel ( about $ 800.00 ) I am wondering if there might be hidden damage to the rear supension or frame hangers .

Pros & Cons

Six Speed truck..... But has 55K miles....

Might be an OK price, except for the Salvage title......

Please note that I didn't bad mouth the color....

Took a look

This will need Rocker cover, rear wheel, Rear cover (or at least part of one to splice in).

I could stand to repair the quater verses replacing it. The sheet metal will pull out and hammer/dolly back nicely.

I would be concerned with the rear axel (possible bent), salvage title (creates a lesser value for the vehicle. no matter how well it is repaired). 55k miles is quite a bit for a damaged 05 and a salvage title to top it off.

Truthfully, you'll stick in to this one only what you would probably be abe to get out of it (purchase 16-17K + 3-4K in repairs = about 20K)

I hope you can post this kind of info without being harassed.

I think your repair cost is in the range that I had estimated. Most current body men would want to replace the 1/4 panel . You and I grew in the age where we would straighten a part instead rather than replace it. kay

I called the salvage company and asked about the rear end and was told that it was, in fact, bent.

Thanks for the replys....I contacted them about registering the salvage title in FL. They claimed "no problem"
The value would allways be very very low.
They did not mention the bent rear.
Now it will need a rear. With repairs, we are up to 22k for a very high miles Salvage title SSR
Or there are about 3 6-speed SSRs now on ebay for 26-27k
