For those collectors, I am selling my 2003 Taj Mahal Signature Series SSR. Car is currently at my residence in Indiana and I am the second owner (purchased it from an individual collector in Ohio who purchased it at the Indianapolis GM Aution) not long after he bought it at auction. SSR has slightly over 11,000 miles (car shows mostly) and has been kept garaged since purchased in October of 2003. Please contact for pricing. Have all of the factory inclusions plus a few extras I have purchased olong the way. Serious collectors only.
My SSR: "Slingshot Yellow" 05 auto License plate "BIG V8"
Who is this? Does anyone know?

This is his first Post. Does that seem strange to anyone else, or am I just a suspicious old man

Not strange at all. There are likely thousands of SSR owners out there who prefer to browse the website without posting, therefore no need to sign up as a member. With 5000 registered Fanatics, who knows how many more are lurking.
Case in point - at this moment (12:39 AM Pacific) there are 7 members and 222 guest online.
I just purchased an 06 pac blue from an SSR owner who made his first and only post to list his truck for sale.

It's good to be suspicious.... I was one of the original members of this forum in late 2003 when there were only about 10-15 folks looking for their first SSR and haven't been back because of moves, etc. Drove my SSR from Dayton to Vegas, where I was living in October of '03 before the first production model hit the dealerships and you can imagine what that was like on the Vegas strip. I have a yellow flamed out 2004 which I drive most of the time ;and hate to see this one sit when I know there are some collectors out there who could enjoy it....
My SSR: #23198 06 Blue 3SS #375 of 532 - Birthday 12/21/05 - Took delivery 9/5/06 (2nd owner)

Poppa, I think there has been enough reason recently to suspect first timers offering anything, I think your question is justified.

I think the fact that your challenge was answered promptly in a matter of fact manner that can be checked out by the moderators and owners is also a good sign and I appreciate the efforts you have made to thank radobug. I hope the sale can be made to one of our family and that all works well for all involved.

Info I have on #15
One Signature Series SSR will be dedicated exclusively to each of Chevrolet's five U.S. marketing regions. An artist selected from four cities within each region will be commissioned to create original works (i.e. watercolors, oil paintings, pen and ink, etc.) depicting the SSR against a backdrop of America - its geography, landmarks, people and culture. The artists and their finished work will appear at a variety of events within the region, with a public exhibition of all 20 pieces at a special gallery-style showing upon completion of the program.
"Music Tour" -
#11 (Bill Szkodzinski - SSR Program Manufacturing Manager; John Hrit - Vice President of Manufacturing Operations, ASC Inc.)
#13 (Satya Veerapaneni - SSR Launch Manager, Lansing Craft Centre; Darwin Foster - SSR Program Quality Manager)
#15 (Mike McGinnis - SSR Powertrain Systems Integration Engineer; Sam Winegarden - Chief Engineer & Program Manager for Small-Block Engines, GM Powertrain)
Each vehicle will spend the Summer of 2003 on tour with a specific musical artist or group when they perform at up to five outdoor concert venues around the U.S. The SSRs will be placed in highly visible locations for concertgoers to see. It's even possible that the vehicles might even be part of their on-stage performance. Memorabilia signed by the artists and photos from the venues will be obtained for the scrapbook to accompany each SSR.

Just for you......
Photos are of mine - #23
All 25 Signature trucks are Ultra Violet.
It was a media evaluation SSR, used by Car and Driver, Motor Trend, Truck Trend and several others in 03. All the Signatures except #1 were auctioned in the fall of 03, about the time the first production trucks were coming off the line.
The Signatures had a waterfall badge signed by execs either at GM, ASC or the auto workers union. The engine cover was more detailed, with billet aluminum bars. From the outside, the only visible ID is the Signature Series badge below the SS on the tailgate. Seats had the SSR logo stitched into them.
#2 got the most media attention. It was purchased on EBay by Bob McDorman for a mere $137850.00. It was signed by the four top execs at GM. He also purchased #3 and #4.
I will someday scan all the documentation that came with #23 and put it into my gallery.
Maybe Rado can post some of the info that came with #15 so we can all enjoy it.

Interesting observation
Ray,
The engine compartment photo looks like the firewall and inner fenders are actually a different color than the UV on the exterior of the truck. I wonder why..... What's your take on it????
Regards from the desert,

Not sure - I'll have a closer look at it. Possibly the flash affected the color, or the areas under the hood didn't get the tinted clearcoat???
I'll have a look at photos taken outside at the car show to see how it looks there.

My digital camera broke, sorry guys and gals, will pick one up tomorrow and get some pictures posted with some of the added photos of all the goodies that came from GM with the truck. I have some pictures on disc from a car show but wanted to post news ones so all can see how well kept the vehicle has been. Radobug...

Not sure if you can post photos until you're a supporting member. To see if you can, open a reply, and go to the lower portion where it says manage attachments. Click on the button, and a screen should open up with spots for 5 attachments. Click on browse, and click on the photo you want to attach. Do one first, to see if it'll take it. You are limited as to size.
If that doesn't work, email them to me: ray_lamothe@telus.net and I'll post them for you.
