2003 Black SSR VIN 97 For Sale - $22k

I'm selling my Captured Test Fleet (CTF) 2003 SSR, VIN 97. The truck still has the CTF sticker on the windshield, and was purchased from GM by me in the spring of '04 with 8k miles. Also has the "no smoking in company vehicles" sticker on the driver's window. CTF vehicles are very rare, and were built with much more attention than regular production run vehicles. The CTF stickers were usually removed after testing, and with the low VIN & CTF stickers this truck should be highly collectable.

It has approx. 37k miles, has never seen snow & seen rain only about 3 times. Also includes the factory cover, service manuals (2) and trailer hitch option (never installed). It has been garaged & covered since I purchased it, and only Mobil 1 has been used.

This is a very early production SSR, and has no bed carpet or running boards, they were not available at the time I took delivery. Asking $21,000 or best offer. Thanks for your interest.

The CTF trucks were built with a lot more "hand work" than the later trucks. Looking at the paint, I think the paint job also had a lot more "hand work" before it was let out the door. The mirror effect on the side of the truck is awesome.

I wonder if Fuzzy's S/N 99 was a CTF truck..... Fuzzy????

What purpose did a CTF serve?

Fuzzy's was a PEP (BARS Code 10) and this is a BARS Code 80, so I don't believe Fuzzy's would be a CTF. ( but I'm not positive).

Thanks Marc. This was a "CTF" - Captured Test Fleet vehicle which appears to be a different breed from the "PEP" units.
This is a BARS CODE 80 and the PEP are BARS CODE 10.
I was curious if Captured Test fleet was in any way related to the WD0 - Platform Containment units but such is not the case.
Obviously it was an early unit, this one being built immediately following the 69 WD1 Pilots, but the only thing unusual on the build sheet is the 41U - ONYX BLACK. Certainly nothing earth shattering but I have not seen this before.
Fuzzy's #99, a BARS CODE 10 PEP, was built the next day and also black so possibly has the same color description.
