Honda sold less than 2,000 Insights in 2005, and fewer than 1,000 units through September of 2006. With the introduction of a new small hybrid-specific car planned for 2009—a hybrid version of a Honda Fit or something like it —the company decided to discontinue production of the Insight.
If you really want to do your part to reduce greenhouse gases and air pollution, then ride a bike and take public transportation. The next best thing is to drive the Honda Insight. (After all, you might need a car. It's America.)
But if you want a new Insight, you'll need to move quickly.
The latest wave of muscular and flashy hybrids have arrived. They each offer their own exciting new bells and whistles: luxury features, enhanced performance, three-prong outlets, and so on—but wasn't the point of hybrids supposed to be great gas mileage? If saving the atmosphere and reducing our foreign oil dependency is the reason that you're thinking about a hybrid—and you can live with a two-door car—the Insight may be just the ticket.

WELL THERE IS 3 MOUNTH AND 3K LEFT OF THE FACTORY ONE. ALSO YOU CAN GET AN GMPP EXTENDED.
That's makes the deal for a buyer even better. But if it's got 3 month's warranty left then it must have a lot more than 3K miles left.....did you mean 25K (36-9.5)? (realizing whichever comes first)

If you drove 50,000 miles a year in it, you would have to drive 20 years to drive it a million miles. So 40 years if you only drive 25,000 miles.
I was wondering about how many miles I've driven in my life. If I use 30,000 miles per year as an average (a little under what I drive now), I have driven about 750,000 miles.....I guess I might make 1,000,000 miles. If I add the years, I was a passenger, I have been in vehicles for more than a million miles
