2004 Slingshot @ Auction

Copart

1GCES14P14B107307
2004
80,261 miles
CoPart Auction, Baton Rouge LA - 2/8/2011 (Next Tuesday)
This is for sale with clean title and just normal wear and tear, no accident or damage (that I am aware of).

2004 Slingshot @ Auction-11389081_ax.jpg2004 Slingshot @ Auction-11389081_3x.jpg2004 Slingshot @ Auction-11389081_7x.jpg2004 Slingshot @ Auction-11389081_6x.jpg2004 Slingshot @ Auction-11389081_5x.jpg

Might be an opportunity to buy what appears to be a clean SSR with some miles for a reasonable price.

Looks nice!

Someone loved this one... The yellow inserts in the doors and seats show that! The speedo pointing at about 5 o'clock is a bit of a concern

I really like those interior accents. I wonder what that costs to do that? Oh yeah, that speedo tells a story, huh?

Is it the photos or are there no stone guards on the rear fenders?

Nice looking. I would not have a issue with owning one with 80,000+ miles on it.

It has stone guards. I can see the edge of them in pictures 4 & 5.

I see current bid is $14.7, still in the "well bought" zone.
I'm not sure how it works but it says auction date 2.10.2011 so bids must close sometime Thursday.

Something happened with the 2/11/2011 auction because they have restarted the bid with a new auction on 2/15/2011. BTW, I read up on the bidding process (link in Post #1) and the bids don't close at a certain time like ebay. It is the same as any other auction and if there is a lull in on-line bids there is the first - second call and sold as in any other auction. Of course everyone else probably knew this except me!

Heck, you are the expert, what do you mean that you didn't know anything about the auction??

I just called them and nobody can give any info as to the mechanics and/or condition at all. She said that it will go forwards and backwards and that is it. Unless you are on the premises, you will not know if the top works, etc. Also, the auction starts at noon CST and may be over with in a few minutes.

I registered to bid and when the auction came up, I noticed the price was only at
9800 so I bid 9900. By the time I got thru filling out my CC info and agreed for
them to take out $990, the auction changed from the yellow 2004 in Boca to a 2004
silver one in AZ with 68k miles with some vandalism that does not go up on auction
until 2/21 and do not know what happened to the yellow one so now I am trying
to get my moiney back.................just another interesting chapter. Gary

I just looked at the auction and it now says the sale date is 2.17.2011.
Current bid is $14.9k which is about where it left off the first time.
