Your 06 Redline

After reading your description and looking at the pictures, the following questions come to mind.

1. Do all four tires match? And if not, what did you put on the front? And with 36k miles, is there much tread left on the rear tires? (Which are virtually impossible to get and very expensive). And without close-up pictures, I have to ask if any ofthe chrome wheels have any scratches?

2. The current bed is a reasonable attempt to do something with the plastic liner, but an '06 with the chrome package begs for the correct carpeted bed w/wood finish. Beds are available (again, expensive) but the red slats are difficult to find. Are your slats the real deal, and do you have all 9?

3. Paint chips. Its important to know what panels the chips are in and whether they are on a crease? Are there small indentations with the chips or are they simply rock chips. Bumpers are easier to paint then panels, so pictures or the location of the chips would be helpful. On the bright side, if we are fixing paint chips, it's not hard to paint the running boards to match.

Overall, it appears to be a well optioned truck with the highly desired Chrome Package, but in need of a little TLC. As I'm sure you are aware, SSR owners are unusually smart, detail oriented and industrius. If you can paint a clearer picture of what the new owner would be up against, you would most likely get a few cogs turning and before long a couple Fanatics would submit an offer. And with that, I apologize for the unsolicited advice, I politely ask for answers as I am interested, and wish you good luck with the sale!

Paul thanks for reading my add, 1600 other folks have read it also. Let me clear up a few things for you;
1 All four tires are Goodyears, the correct size.The back tires do not need replacing or I would have replaced them also. There are no marks of any kind on the wheels. I drive carefully and am very anal about my cars & trucks.
2 I personally do not like the all carpeted bed, it reminds me of the carpeted vans of the 70's, but that is my opinion. What I did with the GM Carpet mat was a tastefull way to protect the plastic bedliner when hauling groceries or small objects. I used just enough of the red slats to tastefully carry the red theme into the bed. I like what I did better than what the factory did especially when you factor the costs. I do have the rest of the red slats. I had the running boards and sold them to fellow fanatic right after I traded my '05 SSR for this one. Again person preference, I do not care for them either.
3 I have honestly described the condition of this well cared for truck. Like any vehicle that is driven on todays highway, it will get a few chips (not dents) in the paint. The very very small chips are on the front of the hood and front of the rear fender protectors. Yes it could be repainted, but I believe that would be taking these small chips to an extreme not neccessary. I feel I have given as good a description as others selling vehicles on this forum. I am asking a fair price, and I am patient. The economy and timing (convertible) are not conducive for my truck right now, but it will sell, and both the buyer and I will be happy, I am sure. I have done my best to answer your questions for you and others who will read this post. I appreciate your well wishes. Edd
