Why does it seem everyone here tries to find something close to what they want out of dealer stock nowhere near where they live? I have never read of anyone here just ordering exactly the SSR they want.............????????????
No One Orders What They Want The Ones That Do Pay More The Ones You Get The Great Buy From Is Buying From The Dealer That Gm Just Shipped The Ssr To And They Havent Sold Their Way Out Of It You Know If Something Sits In Inventory 100+ Days And Cost 40-50k Thats A Lot Of Money To Floor Plan
"No one orders but those that do ....." ??????? I submit that if you do not get what you want, it is NOT a great deal. The ONLY way to get exactly what you want is to order and that obviously is more expensive. So, you go to the bakery and buy the doughnuts you want or come back and get leftovers for less. Meanwhile. if you look closely and for a while at Ebay Motors and autotrader.com, you can find some great deals on almost exactly what you want. I have but timing is not yet right.
$29995 for a brand new '04 yellow right now in Cincy (old doughnuts) or $37510 for a new '05 6 speed with 1SB and chrome wheels right now in Tenn (new doughnuts) sound even better. I get my 401 $$ in March and I now think I know how to buy an SSR thanks to this forum. thnx all! ...and as far as happy face DavidN goes; "Did you get your SSR EXACTLY like you wanted it?"
I just order a 2006 auto, today with all the options. My dealer will hold the order until the sunburst orange color is available on the order form, early in the year I hope . Andy
