The AZ auction for Barrett Jackson has started and 39 hours of fantastic motor vehicle's will be before us. While waiting for those three Beautiful SSR Pace cars to come on the block (my guess was $225K) They said that the Holden Ute will be badged as a Pontiac and for sale in the USA. Wow! Since they make the GTO for us............VAVOOM had some great pics of the UTE last year. Its the modern version of an El Camino. Corvette engine in that would be awesome!!!!!

My SSR: 05 Slingshot Auto # 20087 Brickyard Track Vehicle
Utes
These are not the latest utes - this is the THUNDER. A couple of years old now. A lot of the new ones from Ford and Holden are coming out as four door crew cabs. Makes them awfully long.
Thanks for those links VAVOOM, looks like some management at Chevy is on the ball.. The Auction for the SSR's is Sunday around noon. I loved the quote - "The Yanks are going to love it".

My SSR: Silver on Black Final Prod 6 speed #23387, Signature #23, Signature #12
I wonder how many will actually make it to the block during Speed's coverage. A lot of really nice cars went across during commercials today.
With two only one lot apart, hopefully at least one will cross while they're on air. I'd like to hear what Matt Stone has to say about the SSR.
He's a really knowledgeable car guy, Editor of Motor Trend and Truck Trend, and a judge at the Concours at Pebble Beach.
I called him to see if I could get autographed copies of the articles he wrote on the Signature SSR back in 03. They were driving #23 for their articles. Received them very quickly, signed by both writers. Now a prized part of the scrapbook.

Wow Flassh getting the autographed copies was a stroke of fortune. And your reference to the Pebble Beach Concours - hope you saw the Duesenberg on last nights auction. Beautiful and perfect. Said they had won 3 Indy 500's. I must admit I was smitten by the Richard Childress 69 Camero, Series 3, with the engine (block) that Dale Sr. had in a 2000 race car. $575K Whew! I see Dave Ressler also was buying up the rare Corvettes. Must be nice to be a Chevy Dealer And now the wait for the SSR's to come to the block......
Another poster had suggested the SSRs will be about Noon - Maybe ET? My advisor says the first truck is about the 50th from todays auction start, the 05 Subway pace truck. The $Million for the ZR-1 gave me goose bumps. I got one tv on the NFL lead up and another on the speed channel. How about putting the SSR Museum in Daytona Beach?

Reason: time for appearance of the SSRs
Was a time given for the SSR's today? How about that ZR-1 Corvette last night. One million dollars was the final bid !!
Auction coverage starts today @ 12 mountain time. There are about 120 vehicles listed today and the SSR's are half way down the list. The auction averages about 25 vehicles an hour
