Daytona 500 SSR38 F/Sale
1GCES14H05B119006
I recognized the VIN as being a Daytona 500 driver intro SSR. I called Craig @ Ellis Infiniti to see if he could determine the number it was designated. He was good enough to run out and do a search for me and sure enough the gas door sticker was still on it showing SSR38. This SSR is #38 of 50 serving as driver intro/media/pit crew user vehicles for the week prior to the 2.20.2005 running of the Daytona 500.
It is a one owner and appears to be in excellent condition with 14.3k miles on it. Asking is $30k but in discussing this with Craig a bit he will definitely look at offers, best guess 7 - 10% lower. If interested, give Craig a call and tell him you are with SSRFanatic. He now knows who we are!

He was not aware of it until I phoned him, but that is not surprising. I have a hunch the consignor is not aware of it either or he would have mentioned it as a selling feature. The argument there is that he did retain the tag in the gas door so he must have been aware of something. I bet there are a bunch of SSR's out there where the owners are not even aware of the ancestry. I don't know if this adds any value or not but it does add to the interest of the vehicle and the story an owner can relate when asked about their SSR. Craig is now aware of it and it is definitely a selling feature.

Thanks Cash for calling them!
I think it is important that we educate when we can, otherwise the historical significance of some SSR's, be it large or small, will get lost in the shuffle.
BTW, I sent Craig some links to threads on the forum regarding the Daytona's.
