i'll take an 04 at a GOOD price
Z16Z06,
You indicate you have never driven an 04' and all the DFW dealers have sold theirs. Why don't you go drive the 04' at Chuck Fairbanks to see if 300hp is acceptable.
Islanddreams just posted some new inventory, even the purple color you indicated you wanted in an earlier post. Seems to me if you have financing lined up you could be in an SSR, what are you waiting for?

Good idea about going to drive the 04 at Chuck Fairbanks, i just was trying to avoid their BIG sales pitch. You know how it is going to a dealership.

But i will go tomorrow first thing... Thanks for your help. I only havent mentioned or asked about prices because i noticed that William at Reliable has quit posting prices on the 04's lately. SO i didnt want to put him on the spot. thats why.

I said the same thing about black

92 black ford explorer sport
96 black saab 900 se turbo
99 black gmc snonoma highrider
00 black jeep wranger sahara
02 GREEN Yukon Denali
and back to 04 black SSR

I like classic black, on the SSR's all the other colors look great too , especially because they really show off on the waterfall and interior body parts.

Price

Z16Z06,

Just curious, what's the Devastator saying is a good price for that 04 Ultra Violet? I have to say that I love my Ultra Violet -- everyone who sees it says they've never seen that color and it's a cool hot rod color. Even though people don't see many SSRs, when they have, it's usually the red or yellow ones, even in pictures. It's nice to have a rarely seen car - and the purple one is even rarer among the SSRs! Plus, the metallic paint really shows off the curves of the fenders and body - something that the non-metallic colors don't have. Good luck on your hunt and have fun getting your SSR! I was lucky because I found mine about 50 miles from home and it was just what I wanted.

I actually worked out the deal with the dealership in PA i mentioned Chris (Devastator) because he first told me about this SSR... i can get it for $30,500.00.. great pricing i think.. has everything but the extra guage package, doesnt have chrome wheels, << no biggie.. and it doesnt have the hitch.<< not needed by me.. SO what do you think.. I checked flights and its like around 600 bucks one way... I think its going to be the one, the only things left in the Dallas,Ft. Worth area is two new 04 Black ones.. and in Houston they wont deal, one dealership in Houston has 4 new 04 SSR's two of them are Ultra Violet and one is silver the other black... BUT can you believe they wont deal??????? Okay rant off.. lol

give me your thoughts.. im really pulled between the Yellow and the Ultra Violet.. the Yellow is SO bright i like.. and then the Ultra Violet sure looks good in your pics and others on here.. havent ever seen the Ultra Violet in person yet.. thanks Tony

Super price and one of the colors you'd most want, that definitely will NOT be available much longer. All that's left is to jump in with both feet and start enjoying what you've only been reading about up until now.

Yes sir i am working on this, i wrote them yesterday evening and we are comunicating by via email right now. sounds like a good price on this 03 model, what a beautiful drive home that would be too. i'll have to see what my interest rate on a used vehicle is. I recieved a very nice 5.25% through my bank on a new vehicle.

Oh Calcustom, i finally recieved a response back from the dealership you told me about .. Chuck Fairbanks with the Black new 04 .. they sent me a pricing of
$31,988.00 plus TTL.. gosh i wish it was a different color.. i will go drive it today tho and see how the 04 feels.

thanks for the tip again. Tony..

Note>> the yellow 03 in CA is very tempting tho at that price.

Hey, Guys

The gauges are available from gmpartsdirect.com

Part # 10387279 for 03 and 04, $260.40 plus 7.95 shipping, no tax if outside of North Carolina.

Have not checking into a part number or pricing on gauges for the 05.

Got mine a couple of weeks ago, installed easily (except for cutting and shredding the carpet underpad), and work just fine. (The GMH gauge is a bit lame, but looks good.

I had hoped to remove the center GPH gauge and replace it with the gauge for my Dakota Digital tire pressure sensing system, but it's all on one printed circuit board.

C'mon, Z - go grab that 03 before someone else grabs it.!!!! 750 miles and yellow. I flew to North Carolina, and came back with mine without ever having driven an SSR. You've been in one, you like it, you like yellow - what's to ponder???

It's almost tempting to go grab it to resell up here, except for two problems.

1 - My wife would kll me - don't need 2 yellow SSRs

2 - GM Canada will block warranty on anything with less than 7500 miles
