My SSR: 05 Slingshot Auto # 20087 Brickyard Track Vehicle
Decisions, decisions.....
Hi all. I need some advice. I have narrowed down my buying choice to 2 x Slinghsot Yellow's.
First is an 04 with most additional packages (except for aux guages), has only done 86 miles for $32,950
Second is an 05 with 1505 miles - a Brickyard 500 pace car - also has most accesories installed for $35,000 which includes shipping to LA.
I have my loan approved so all systems are go and wanting to make a purchase.
Your advice would be most appreciated as I would like to finalise a vehicle over the weekend while the AUS$ is still in a good position.
Regards,
Mark & Fiona
P.S. Will be a bit lonely crusing with only one SSR.
IMHO I would easily pick a 2005, because of the 400hp engine that comes with it. Dealers have quite a few around. The Brickyard special is ok, but the decal?? I don't know!

Good luck
No decals or pinstirping on this - have been removed. Only has a small badge over rear wheel wells and on tailgate.

For 2K? - it's a no-brainer. The LS2 alone is worth the difference, plus you have 1 year less depreciation, AND the frame is stiffer (no cowl shake), and as a bonus, if it's a mid year or later SSR, you can turn on the seat heaters without opening the door.

the '04 is good because of the ultra low milage, but the price of both seem high. There has got to be more choices for you than that. Keep looking and when you find the one you will know it. And then you'll be telling us about it, not asking which we think. So my gut feeling is - keep searching you're almost there!
Keep us posted and of course we will want pictures of the whole conversion process, followed by smiles and a little drool
