Hello Fanatics: I have been in the car business for thirty eight years and if there is one word that describes this horse trading business best IMO, is "FICKLE"! There is a car buss. idiom, "There is a ass for every seat"! I truely believe this, however, when is the only thing we can't predict, markets are up and down for several reasons, for sure due to the "Law of supply and demand" but I get frustrated when I sell my beautiful T-birds in like new condition last year between 35K-44K and now can't give them away,In thirty days when the weather hopefully brings some sunshine and people's thoughts turn to spring /summer time fun,the market could do a 180 degree move and bang the cherries are picked up,leaving the average condition vehicles to choose from?! Hence Fickle! $29,999.00 now e-bay>for a like new 2004 T-Bird that IMO is
worth $34K-36K <$42330.00 new>>.go figure?

Regarding the 2006 Pacific Blue SSR:The seller is a bit early, maybe, asking 47K for it,but hey he is entitled to whatever the hell he wants for it>>>go find one down the street>>>lots of luck>>>remember>> they don't make em anymore,so if a person wants a new Pac blue ssr go buy it if you can afford it,nobody cares to talk about, nor should we,what some of us paid for our beauties,I know of a few folks that paid 60K for theirs,so one shouldn't feel
like they are paying to much for this 06",my guess is The window sticker price. When I and many bought our SSR's it wasn't widely known by many folks;and at first, the dealers got greedy, because they were told they would be lucky to get one or two a year,so that set off the 10K+ second sticker prices, which in turn turned off a large segiment of the niche market, that in turn led to IMO, it's ultimate demise in March 17th,2006.GM along with their dealers
are the ones responsible for killing the ssr production, under estimating the buying public, same exact same thing happened to the new T-Birds,identical !
If one company would have looked at the errors of the other, they may have saved each other, instead, see I told you it wouldn't sell, look what happened to Ford's Thunderbirds, this conversation took place among short sited top GM executives,my guess bean counters advising etc! Percieved value will always rest in the eyes of the beholder! "You get what you pay for">>>most of the time!
