Barrett Jackson auction is next week and they have a 2006 Slingshot 6 speed with 250 miles. It is going through the auction on Wednesday night (1/19) and you can watch it on Speed if you are not there. I am going to be there to see what it brings. Bob

Just watching on this one. I was interested in buying it but found my '05 last month with 450 miles. I spoke to the owner of this one and he said they were hoping for the mid $40's so at more then $10M cheaper I decided not to wait. If this sells at a good price it will be a nice buy being the last year. I am anxious to see what it brings.
My SSR: "Kate" a Haughty Redhead, '06 Redline FPR 6 spd. #23333 Build Date 2/16/06

1GCES14H86B123581 Y Last Slingshot 6sp #284/285
1GCES14H_6B123582 Last Slingshot Yellow #285
The last info I have is #285 is owned by Fanatic RDB in Grand Rapids MI.
It is the Last 6sp.
It is nice to see a proper and knowledgeable write up by BJ as compared to the useless drivel provided for the Signatures at the (McDorman) Mecum Auction.

but do you really think it will make AIR at BJ? None of the others have, unless I missed something along the way.

I think this one is currently owned by a guy in San Diego, Ca. The man I spoke to owns San Diego Classic and Muscle Cars and said he had other cars going through Wed. night as well as the SSR.
Hi Guys,
This SSR is just inside our "lot window" for today's coverage... so watch for it shortly after 7p EST.
Depending on the pace of the auction, we should come on the air at or near lot 406.
Commercials... we have little say when they happen or what lots will be missed... (streaming coverage continues during breaks at speed.com). The only cars that must make air are the Hagerty fantasy bid cars and certain charity and featured lots.
While we have some flexibility and input to move taped features and previews around during a segment, the commercial breaks have to come. We don't plan to miss certain cars or anything like that.
Right now the MG guys are all fired up because twice Tuesday we went to break as one rolled to the block... usually its the AMC fans that are mad at us. Its always something.... enjoy the show.
Mike
Thanks mike for the heads up. Ill have to record it this time as im not home when it starts.
Love the info you give on the cars. But sometimes its a little hard to watch cars go for the price that they are getting now. As ive had almost every model of 55-56-57 chevy. Sure do miss them. Thanks again.
My SSR: 05 Smokin Asphalt Adopted 28/8/10 Aux. Gauges, boards, Wester Tune&4:56 , TPMS, many Mikes goodies

Beat out the 73 Corvette with 86,300 miles for charity that went for $31K. Based on the other cars sold for charity I would think that is a good sign for our resale values.
