It's time to sell my 2003 Slingshot Yellow SSR and am looking for a little advice in the best way to get it out there so the right person will get a chance to pick-up a great vehicle @ a fair price.........I know many of you have done this before so any and all advice is welcome.............thanks.......jmh573
My SSR: Was - 2006 Slingshot Yellow: Final Production Run #23343 Born Feb 21, 2006 (Moved on to a good home)
I would start by checking autotrader.com for market prices on trucks with similar equipment and miles then advertise here with a full list of equipemnt and mods. If you don't get a buyer here you may need to advertise on Autotrader or cars.com. Looking at things from a buyers perspective I would guess an original owner truck with reasonable miles would fetch a price in the low to mid $20's.

Be sure to include the VIN and where you are located & I'm sure one of the guys can pull a build sheet for you. You might not be allowed to post pics but I could post them for you. If you need help send me a PM and I'll shoot you my email address.
thanks again and will shoot some photos in the next day or so.......hate to sell it, i've owned it since it came off the line.....it's only got 18,700 miles so it's still like a new truck....but i've got to sell it to buy my next "toy".........when i get the photos done i'll get back up w/you and thanks again for the help........jmh573
Might want to get a bid from Carmax , If they offer close to what you want you can avoid the trouble and risk associated with selling it yourself. I wouldn't want to hand over the title unless I had the money in hand but if someone gives you a certified check how are you to know if it's real and who is going to bring $20k in cash? Also remember if you trade it in on your next toy you would save $1,300 in sales tax(true in Texas). Good luck, remember you need not be a SSR owner to be a fanatic.
My SSR: 2005 slingshot and a 2006 silver FPR with chrome
I just sold a 2010 Camaro for $53000 and a Bank Wire worked perfectly. Cashiers Checks are really no better then a personal check. You need to wait for clearance before letting the "R" and Title go.

thanks for the tips............if i remember correctly the last four numbers of my Vin are the sequence #s is that right?....if so mine is 1808.........then i got some other info that said GM built only so many Yellow Slingshot in 03 and that this one might be in the first 250 of the Yellow ......who know it probably doesn't matters to a non fanatic........jmh573
My SSR: "Kate" a Haughty Redhead, '06 Redline FPR 6 spd. #23333 Build Date 2/16/06

You are welcome. You are probably correct about being one of the first 250 or so but I don't have a way to confirm that. Over the past couple years I have been tracking them I have come across just under 100 that are earlier VINs than yours. At least 7 of those have been destroyed, so you are getting closer to #1, rather slowly though!

You said that you are selling so that you can get your next toy. Your next toy would'nt be a 1969 Camaro SS would it? If it is, I have a really nice one that I just put up for sale.
thanks but no thanks............my next "toy" could be a roaster of some kind....but i haven't made my mind up it could also be an older restored truck.........something thats just as fun to drive as my SSR...........
My SSR: PAID FOR Aqua Blur '05,#18006, Diablo Preditor, K&N, Spoiler,Nascar Chin Spoiler, Corvette emblems
