Looking to buy a 2006 SSR

So i've been wanting an SSR for quite sometime now and am now ready to buy one. I have been shopping the market and i recently purchased a 1999 S10 Extreme that was a custom built street racer only to find out that i could'nt get it into Canada. They will not allow ANY CUSTOM VEHICLES INTO CANADA. So i figured screw it im going to get an SSR. So now if i can get a stock ssr into canada or if someone has one for sale IN CANADA that would be better. Im willing to look at anything but would perfer loaded with low kms/miles. But if it's a good deal and you can help me get it here i would look at it. Im in Edmonton/Alberta/Canada you can phone me at 780-633-4635 or e-mail me at TheJester69@hotmail.com. Looking to purchase ASAP.

thks, Murray Diamond

If you are looking for a 2006 final production run, Ray has one for sale, (unless he has sold it already). Send a PM to Flassh.

My pleasure. Would be nice to see your FPR stay with the Northwest Group, and even better to stay in Canada.

Im on a few forums under that moniker. I've been into trucks for sometime now and built a few lowriders in my youth. Got into the mini trucks a few yrs back and just got pissed when that deal fell through for a truck i had looked for for 3 yrs and could'nt get it. I could'nt afford the SSR when it first came out so i avoided it but started thinking about them again considering they were actually closer to what i was trying to find in the first place. I wanted a reg cab shortbox stepside (Ranger or S10 did'nt matter), i wanted a V8, i wanted buckets and console, i wanted performance and would have been nice to have a removable roof becouse the only cars i like to drive are convertables. So that pretty much describes the SSR. I was looking forward to the SSR release and then saw this ugly lump come out and thought to myself........EEEEEEWWWWW!. I still don't really like the looks but it does have to many redeeming qualities to ignore. I got used to the wife so maybe i can get used to this.

So after seeing whats out there, checking into some prices and talking with some locals i have decided to buy a 69 Camaro pacecar convertible. I know it's a stretch between the two but looking at the logistics and the prices i just could'nt bring myself to pay that much for what i wanted in a truck. Just wanted to say to everyone thanks for your help, it was a close call between the two.

So i spotted a SSR in a local auction house and thought i would check it out. I previewed it on Fri and it is a 2006 black and silver FPR. It had a bit of road rash on it but nothing out of this world. ALL the windows in it were tinted and it was locked so i could'nt tell the mileage on it. The lady told me it is a repo and will go on the block sat around noon. I showed up at about 10:30am just to make sure and she tells me "oh that one, that went at 9 this morning and sold for $24k"...........................ARRRRRRGGGGG!. Since i havent solidified the deal on the camaro i thought if i can get a good deal i might pick one up. Dammit, dumb woman.

It had water damage in the cab, the radio was ripped out and the truck was driven 56,988 miles without an oil change....there, do you feel better (of course I just made that stuff up so you'd feel better)

The odometer is part of the DIC and is electronic so you could not see it without the key anyway. Good luck in your future searching.

Actually, yes you can.

Push the rod in the right hand side of the dash cluster and it will show the mileage without the key.
