Amazing!!
This FPR has only the 12.5 miles on it to drive from the dealer to the garage it now resides in and has not moved since.
It is started regularly and the battery kept charged.
#325/424 - Not the last or the first but probably the best!
1 of 9 3SS/1SC 6sp W/VYJ - Chrome Package.
1 of 2 1SC Z49 Canadian builds with 6sp VYJ.
Rare, Beautiful and New!

Is there anything missing from the truck ? i.e. saddle bags etc.
The chrome wheels are included I presume from your post.
Please let me know as I'm prepared to make a cash offer now,
as I'm leaving on holidays and would like to get this deal done
if you so wish.
Thanks
I think this is a rare find ( kinda, like having Raquel Welch's first date", not one of us unfortunately) How do you really put a price on this car?
This car is actually priceless from a collector's point of view, with an eye for this as a collector item and unless there are other "0" mile SSR trucks out there, this car should continue to be stored , as the value has only one way to go.
I would be very carefully who you sell this too, it would be a shame for this car to become just . another low mile truck.
You probably need another 5-10 years, but the sky is the limit for a piece like this. Can you imagine, this crossing the Barrett Jackson Stage in 2016 or 2021. I would believe the price would be up there with the Hemi Cuda and Shelby Mustangs.
Please keep us posted on what happens to this truck. Good Luck

This is a great truck, and should sell for a very good price. The seller is being very realistic about its value. If it was an automatic, I'd be having a very difficult time not buying it, in spite of the serious and immediate financial impact. It would not be kept as a garage queen. It would be driven gently.
This all seemed familiar - discovered the same discussion on a prior thread about the same truck.
I still admire your enthusiasm, but as much as I love SSRs and want to see them appreciate as anyone does, I think your comparables and timeline are highly optimistic. Even the best SSRs are a long ways away from Hemi Cudas prices. A fair comparable would be if GM had built 14 FPR SSRs with LS9s, and you bought one at auction, with no mileage, in 2050. That's how many Hemi Cuda convertibles were built in 1970. Shelbys are also a very limited production vehicle, with significant differences from production Mustangs.
No such vehicles in the SSR lineup. The Signatures were a unique group of vehicles, but mechanically identical to production SSRs.
Unfortunately, you'd need to be in your 30s making that purchase now to be around long enough for it to appreciate significantly during your lifetime. I love my FPR/chrome/two-tone 6 speed and decided to drive it and enjoy it, rather than mothball it for 40 years for my grandchildren to reap the profits.
The most valuable SSR available to the public currently is 24111 - that held to within $10000 of the original 2006 auction purchase price at the recent McDorman auction. That figure is well over the original $48K MSRP, but McDorman still lost on his original investment. It reached that number because two people really wanted the last available to the public. If GM ever released 24112 for sale, 24111's value could be significantly affected, unless 24112 got an astronomical price - which is quite plausible, again if the right two people are in the room.
Right now, selling a vehicle for close to MSRP is really good. The BJ sale Wednesday was the first resale I've seen that came close to MSRP. None of the Signatures have resold from 2003 have come close to their original auction selling prices.
I'm aware of several "under 10" mile SSRs in storage. There are probably quite a few more, most of them squirelled away by collectors who prefer to remain anonymous.
Probably the most directly comparable vehicle regarding values was the silver/black 1978 Indy Pace Corvette. They were sold in a fairly limited number (6500, one per dealer), with a choice of L48 or L82, automatic or 4 speed. This car, in perfect no mile condition is now gettting double the original $13600 MSRP. Most were sold for $5000 - $10000 over MSRP. The L82 4 speed version is commanding the highest return, but it's still not earth shattering. The one that sold at BJ this weekend was an auto with very low miles. Taking inflation and potential investment income from an equivalent amount in 1978, not a great ROI.
The Prowler is another comparable vehicle. Not as powerful, but still a really cool retro rod. It's had a few more years than the SSR to build up some collector value, but even the best of those with trailers and fairly rare two-tone combinations are still being bought for very good prices. One rare two-tone changed hands last week, for significantly less than the original selling price. The two-tone that sold at BJ two years ago sold for less than MSRP, but the selling price obviously surprised the Speed broadcast crew.
It's going to be a lot of fun watching what SSRs bring over the next few years. The 5 SSRs up for sale this week at Mecum will give us a pretty good indication of how good the demand is for both production and Signatures. I think the interest in SSRs now is greater than it was during its production cycle, which does bode well for increased values.

I would not consider them missing but these were the items not ordered that I can think of.
All were Dealer Installed items and if a Buyer added them it really doesn't affect the originality of the build (IMO).
CTD - Cargo Net
C44 - Cockpit Windbreak
E80 - Softbags or
RAE - Hard Cargo Bins
VR4 - Hitch insert
Beautiful truck Lou. It would look good on you.

Just wondering. Is it hard to buy a vehical from our Canadian friends? Does the Customs people tear them all down like they show on TV. How do you change the title around. Is it an easy process or does it take monthes?
Oh buy the way "GO PACKERS"

The process to bring an SSR south is much more convoluted than bringing one into Canada. No issues on the Canadian side, but US Customs is a pain in the arse. Nothing difficult, just a very excessive bunch of paperwork.
It can be done - I've sent 3 south from here. I think all three buyers will vouch that US customs is very demanding.
I had no issues at the border. I took it there in a car hauler behind my pickup. They ran the whole rig through a scanner, then sent me on my way. The preparation to get it through will likely take about a week or so.
If you do buy one in Canada, contact me again. I can steer you to the right people to help you - a good brokerage firm is definitely a must, and your Canadian contact will need to be willing to get the vehicle through the border on your behalf, unless you pay the price to have an international carrier like TFX to pick it up and deal with the paperwork for you. They are more expensive because they can only do cross-border transport. They cannot move vehicles around within the US.
When I moved to Florida 5 years ago, I had Sea Rail ship the truck down. All paper work was done by them and the shipped price was $1000.
It was very easy. If i recall correctly one signature on one paper. Google them and get a quote.
A shipping company will be fully dialed in on the required process, making shipping really simple.
The problem at our end was for me and the buyer to fully understand and prepare all the paperwork required by the US government.
I had to become a certified "carrier" to get it through the border, because I had done it more than once within a 12 month period. The first time would be no problem from that perspective.
EPA and Transport came into the picture as well. Not impossible, just tedious.
A shipping company handling all of it for you is worth the money. Our problem was that no carrier would come up into Canada to pick it up because they were carrying other vehicles, which would be a border nightmare, so I had to become the exporter and get the trucks to the US.
It's all good now - I have no more trucks to sell.

I spoke with chelseasnake who confirmed the truck is sold, but he said the buyer wished to remain anonymous.
It sounded like it would remain in its present condition which is good news.
