I sent Mr. Mork an email on May 17th about an SSR that I was looking to buy and have yet to receive a reply. I wonder why? Even if he couldn't provide me the SSR I was looking for you would think he would at least respond, it would only take a minute.

Oh well, I will be buying my second SSR this July and it seems it wont be from him.

I had a similar (non) response regarding trading my '04 redline red for an identical '05. The courtesy of a reply from island dreams would go a long way so that you know whether a car that he is "pitching" is still available or not.

OK Billy,

Time for you to set the word straight and let us know your side of the story

I'm hoping that the only reason you haven't returned our inquires is :
(1) because you are busy buying other dealers SSR's, (2) because you are wheeling & dealing 24/7 brokering great SSR deals for all us meer mortals, or (3) that you just plain A$$ tired and had to take some time off....lol

We all appreciate the great prices you offer, but great prices don't put that shiny new SSR in the driveway if the deal is never consumated

Keep in touch, we realize that not all offers can be accepted, nor all deals made, but the least we deserve is a short EMail to that effect

Thanks for your help

The Pitch

Didn't you guys ever see that Twilight Zone episode called
"The Pitch" apparently Mr. Mork and Mindy didnt either.. HAHA!

Back a Zillion months ago it seems when i first was looking for an SSR i contacted this dealership and crew a few times AND of course on my nickle each time with NO return calls, NO return emails and if the finance manager would have known his job a little better he would have placed me in an SSR long long time ago. (tryed to stick me on high interest rates but NO sucker here i happen to have great credit) I still say the finance manager will either make or break a dealership, well wouldnt hurt for the salesman to have better manners and knowledge too. haha!

Happy shopping..

I still HATE STEALERSHIPS!

PEACE OUT

Gee now I don't feel like the lone stranger any more. Mr. Mork seems to be an equal opportunity ignorer. I seem to recall from one of his posts that he said something to the effect, "Work with me People" Obviously he is a "Do as I say, not as I do" kind of person.

My apologies

I’ve sold several ssr's this year and as they come available I forward the equipment to the people that are interested and still give the great pricing as they have came available i have posted on the site and most say when you get a black one let me know when you get a yellow one let me know the this last month all I’ve obtained is ultra violet they have become harder to obtain at cheap prices sent an email to most everyone because I did just get a red and a silver I'm on the hone with dealers or customers 13 hours a day and if I missed an email apologize my postings have become short and fewer between I have not had many SSR's over 24 hours and working continually to track more down my phone number is also listed here my phone is almost always answered like I stated unfortunately if you did not receive a reply at all in an email i probably over looked it I average 125-150 emails a day The people on this site that have purchased an SSR from me will verify that the prices I offer on a regular basis other dealer Cannot touch just like the 2005 ssr on eBay right now at $6,000 under invoice I don’t have hidden fees I have a $199 doc fee feel free to email me I will make every attempt to answer as quick as I can and I will continue to list the vehicles first on www.ssrfanatic.com to give the members of this site first opportunity.

In Defense of Wm Mork

For the record, I do not personally know Bill but have spoken with him on several occassions as well as others at Reliable. I know of 4 people that have purchased SSr's from this dealerhship that are very happy with the prices they have paid and the product they rec'd when it arrived or they fly to Springfield to pick it up.

WTS, is he the most prompt person I have dealt with.... honestly, no.... ; but if you want to buy and don't mind waiting on the phone for 5 minutes he has, as my buddy in NY put it, a way of saving you $5k or more off what most (not all) dealers seem to have to have..... not bad for a bit of frustration.... and who really cares if he really has trouble spelling......

I received a response from Mr. Mork today, It looks like I might be able to work something out with him afterall if he can find the right car. I apologize if I was a little rough on him, maybe he is overloaded and just missed my email.

I'm sure we can all relate somewhat to Bill Mork's situation, just from reading his posts over the past few months it sounds to me like he is a real HUSTLER when it comes to finding and selling cars, and sometimes things get lost in the confusion.
However I'm sure if a person really wanted to pin him down and deal with him you could, it might take a little effort but judging from his prices I think it just might be worth it.

Why Bash Billy Mork!!

This is the First And Probably the LAST time i will post on this websight. It seems all some of you have to do is Bash People. I have been looking at posts for about three weeks ever since i purchased my SSR from William Mork. The Deal was the best ever. No one could even come close to his price and SERVICE. The SSR was delivered in five days total from start to finish. I have learned alot from some of you about many subjects on the SSR,and I thank you for the good info. For THE HATERS, How many of you actually own an SSR??? I am sure you will check my spelling and edit this reply BUT WHO CARES.

Sincerely Tim Birnie...

Yeah...you should stay around as there are some great folks here. Of course we do have some judgemental mal contents, but, you meet them through life. Sad thing with the older age demographic here , you can see that some never get it.

Hope I haven't made to many spelling or grammatical errors.

mork is real

Hi all,
Just had to chime in - I was serious about buying, and Reliable (mork, Josh, David, whoever) was totally honest and upfront about everything. I'm not in the car business but I can see that dealing with such a diverse crowd is difficult. I would call Reliable (islandreams) 800 miles from my house before I called the dealer 1 mile from my home - IF looking for price. As I know, some do not care about price which is fine. I find it a challenge to get a deal and love road trips. Thats just me. I have a local Dodge dealer who I am friendly with would never have to travel to buy that brand.

BY the way anyone looking fora Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Quad Cab 38k list they are leasing out at around $200 per month (zero down) with all the incentives/rebates/loyalty/employee crap added in. This is in the Detroit market only. (the plant is here). Good to end of month.

Maybe I shouldn't be talking about Dodge here. I own a contracting company so I buy lots of trucks. Still checking with the tax people to see if the SSR qualifies for the section 179 tax deal. anyone else know this?

Steve

Customer Service

I think that we should have some type of vendor rating on this site, very similar to the one on EBAY. If vendors are going to post items in the sales section then previous customers or even people who have made inquiries can give them a rating. This could be very helpful to both the buyer and the seller. If the seller has a good reputation then that would help people to be more confident and secure about buying from them. If a seller's reputation is not as good then that would at least warn people about what they can expect from the seller. We then would not have posts that are devoted to one vendor either praising then or denigrating them.

In addition, this may not be fair but if we do not manage our own reputations then we are going to probably wind up with a reputation we do not like or one that is unfair.

For example I have a problem with my cell phone and have called technical support on several occasions. In each case they pledge to get back to me within (24) hours. Sometimes they get back to me within the (24) hour window and sometimes they do not. When I was asked by one of their representatives to rate them in several areas with respect to their customer service one of the things I stated was that they did not always get back to me within the (24) hour time period. I also stated that when they did contact me there was no acknowledgement that they didn't contact me within (24) hours until I mentioned it. This leaves me with the impression that they do not really mean they will get back within (24) hours. What they may actually mean is that they will try to get back to me within (24) hours and if they do not I should contact them and follow up. Now if they would say that instead of making a promise to get back to me, I would not necessarily like it but I would know what to expect.

This post is not about bashing anyone.

However, sometimes people get a reputation that is not good or unfair because they do not manage themselves and their reputations.

There is a vendor on this site who sells devices that surpress wind from hitting driver and passenger. In all the posts that I have seen regarding the device and the vendor there are nothing but satisfied and excited customers. I assert that this person is managing their reputation.

Bottomline for me is that without managing one's reputation which involves communicating clear expectations, one is likely to get a reputation they don't like or one that is unfair; and most of the time it is all within their control.

It's customer service

Good idea! Question. Why do you put the time quantity in parenthesis? Just curious.

It's something I do in my engineering reports. It helps to distinguish the number in the sentence. Otherwise we are expected to write the number in words.

You didn't specify whether it was 24 hours in real time or 24 "business hours". The first would be a call within the next day, the second within 3 days (8 hrs per day).
We joke around here in Florida. When a business person tells you he will be there on Tuesday, be sure to ask him "Which Tuesday"

Back to the topic I agree with the rating system idea.
