O5 Aqua Blur 6 Speed On Ebay

I just listed my 05 SSR on ebay and wanted to let you all know if you can help find it a good home. It has 2100 miles,6 speed, chrome wheels, bed package and windsuppssr. I am original owner and it is in excellent condition. I think I will be setting a new low price for an 05 as I am willing to end the ebay auction early and sell it for $36000. Not bad for a $49000 SSR that is four months old. By the way no wrecks, dings or problems with it, just a wife who is mad at me for too many stick shift convertibles and I have listed them all for sale! Thanks for you help with this one.

Aqua blur

So did you sell the SSR yet? Just curious, 36K seems like a good price. I have to wait a few months, (kids in college) but your SSR is perfect.

He's right! I would buy it myself if I had the space for it and the time to enjoy it.
Work, work, work no time to drive the beauties. Someday this year though.

I'm sure there are at least a hundred people who visit this forum who could be interested in a nice used '05 if they only knew what was being offered on the '06 SSr. That way we could make an INFORMED decision.

As if the 06 will really be significantly enough different and worth paying $10000-$15000 more for when it comes out than some barely used 05's? I don't think so. What could they do to this truck within reason as dictated by the conservatism, not to mention the financial woes of GM, to make people start lining up for the 06?

That's exactly what they said about the 2005. A chance for an intelligent informed decision is all I ask.

OK, but now after the 05 modifications, primarily the 390 HP engine and 6 speed manual transmission they should have put in the car originally, what else are you realistically hoping for in 06 that would be worth paying an extra $10000 for? Not that you should not make an informed decision, but you should have realistic, informed expectations.

I originally held off on buying an 04 because I heard of the larger engine in the 05. I planned on getting one when they first came out. I then got a terrific offer on a new 04 and decided that the extra 90 hp wasn't worth $12000 to me. I have no regrets. I think some of the reason for the 04s to drop in price was because of the larger engine. Unless there is a major improvement to the 06 I can't see them dropping in price as drastically as the 04s have. Also if Chevy cuts back on production that should hold the price a little more.
Only time will tell. Buy one and enjoy it!

06 may have 500 horse LS ENGINE

The 06 corvette will have 500 horse LS. Mabye the SSR will have this same engine optional. My 05 390 horse has all the power I need. But a 500 horse LS would be a nice improvement to the SSR YELLOWif the mileage stays around the same.

Buy it Broomer, buy it. Then we could tool around in our SSR's! Since I have an 04 and you would have an 05 you might beat me in a race, but my 04 has a remote controlled top, so it all even out.

Also, since GM is not going to make the 06 orange, you might has well buy one that has their only specialty color (aside from the oh-so-special Smokin Asphalt)

Hey Eric, (ECurtis)

Henrym has a really nice '05 and with his great pricing will sell it soon if not already. I would buy it in a second if it was an automatic. I have the 6 spd. SS Camaro which is more than enough clutching for one family.

Sorry guys. 05 SSR gone. If you want one, go buy it. The great times and memories you are missing now can never be recreated. Stop analyzing and philosophising about why you need to wait. Get an SSR. Once you have your own, it will no longer matter to you whether the 06's have 500 hp or come in some new color. Get off the computer and get on the road with the top down! See you later.

My first reaction on the red flames was that it was the aftermath of hitting some roadkill.
