I AM sorry you had to sell..... I'll have that to do one day, pay Mom's debt's, hopefully not sell the 'R'.

I am also sorry that noone from the forum was able to help you in the sale. And yes it did sound bitter toward the forum. I hope you are able to get Mom's business taken care of with the least amount of stress, and hopefully get another 'R' in the future and rejoin us here.

Unfortunately I agree. I hope you get a handle on your mom's debt's and can move on with your life.

Can't make you happy no matter what we say huh? We then glad you got the price you got for it. Bad situations always call for sacrifices. Sorry you had to let it go.

While I am happy you got what you did and it was all for a good cause I think you could have done it in a better way. Not sure what happened to your original user info, but your intention of joining this site was to sell as indicated by your second post in November of last year. Most of your following posts were to slam people that discussed prices and sales of other vehicles on this site. You were within $1000 of your asking price on EBay earlier this year but decided to wait it out. I thought 2 or 3 months ago you announced it was sold, maybe the sale fell through.........

It's all good, but for many like me, once I make up my mind I want to sell I want to move it and not wait a year. Added gas, advertising and insurance costs don't add up for some people. If I don't sell mine for what I think is fair I will keep it but there is no sense in trying to steer the market. It is what it is, the prices have for the most part settled, on average the spring prices are high and the fall prices are low. I'm probably foolish to sell mine and buy an older one but it's what I think will make me happy. I wish some people would not be so critical of others, lighten up and relax. No need to fuss about the market, we don't control it ..........

I'm surprised and happy that you received what you did, good luck with the Vette.

Once again NYPD, sorry about the loss of your mom, sounded like ya'll were close.

Congrats on the sale, but this site is helpful on more than one level and I am sure you realize that...and if not, you would if you spent more time here and got to know some of us.

Where is the best place to sell an SSR??? I don't know, it is a crap shoot I believe. Some have had great success selling here, some, ebay...and so on.
Just have to be in the right place at the right time.

anyway...congrats, but bittersweet I am sure.

Very sorry about your mom.

Not to sound crass, but before you sell your Vette too are these debts that YOU have to pay? I've been through this with my parents, usually a death certificate sent to the creditor is all that's required for them to write it off, apply credit life insurance, etc. I did have Toyota try to get a little "assertive" with me when I returned my mom's Camry and wanted a percentage of her "estate" - I sent a certified letter informing them that the "estate" consisted of a toothless 13-year-old Lhasa Apso, but I would gladly relinquish 100% to them immediately. I haven't heard from them since.

I have worked as an estate administrator and I was thinking this same thing!
