If you want a black SSR fully loaded, Pallone Chevrolet told me they have one for 48K. That is the walk out the door price including all charges, state sales tax, etc. They are located up in Springfield, VA. They treated me very, very well. Considering the high demand for these vehicles, that seems like a very good price. Of course, if you can do better, by all means do so. I just wanted to let you guys know there was one out there that does not cost an arm and a leg.
I am glad that there is one dealer in the washington, DC area that is not trying to ring your pockets dry. I paid 10,000 over cost to get the yellow that OURISMAN CHEVROLET CO., INC., charged me. Good Luck to the person buying one.
I went in to Koon's at the end of Feb 04 and bought an 03 Red SSR 1K under MSRP (44800.00-1K), but they charge a $300 processing fee, so I really received a $700 discount. It had 8 miles on the odo, a scratch on the rim, and some paint work from shipping, but I could not see it and I am pretty good at finding flaws. I don't recommend you let them prep it...I don't think they know how to take care of someone's new car.
I hear Bob Robinson Chevrolet in Wheeling, WV is asking $60,000 for a black SSR that they have in stock. I'm afraid as much as I like my SSR I could never justify paying more than MSRP.
We (Chevy Chase Cars, Bethesda,) just received a red 2004 SSR. It is being sold at sticker price ~$45K (plus tax and tags). Has most of the goodies on it. If you're interested, give me a call at 301-657-4000. Ask for Mark (ext 1107). It probably won't last long. I'm glad I can't afford it myself.
We're selling our 2003 floor model at MSRP. Red, 1SB package, fancy bed interior. Call if you're interested, our last one didn't stay around long. We're Chevy Chase Cars, in Bethesda, MD.
301-657-4000, ask for Mark.

Value is gone . . . only thing left is FUN, FUN, FUN
WOW ! !
I waited until Feb of '05 and thought I stole my new '04 SSR at 12K off list. I love my SSR (drive it 120-150 miles every day), but even with all that off and an over-allowance for my trade, its got to be the absolute WORST investment I've ever made.
Oh well, you win some and you lose some . . . . and some are rained out ! !
Gave a friend of mine a ride home last night after he had dropped off his daughter's car for her and he just loved my SSR. He flies a $42 million G5 at "work" so he knows style. He's actually thinking about buying one SOON (actually had me pull her into his garage to make sure she would fit ). I told him about this site and this particular forum within the site.
Sure hope he lets me "guide" him through this process so he doesn't get "hood-winked" into thinking he's buying an in-demand truck and pay anything near sticker.
Am I reading this thread right? You guys are offering 04's and 05's in the middle to high $40's????? Come on, one of the regular dealers just auctioned one off, an 05, for less than 35K. He has an 04 in the high 20Ks.
Thanks, missed that. Thought someone was trying to push a bad deal on some people. Hate to see what happened to the prices since then for all those who bought early. What I saved on my 05' I lost in the market. It all washes out in the end I guess. (AT LEAST THOSE WHO BOUGHT HIGH STILL HAVE A NICE RIDE)
