Bought a set of AUX. SSR GAUGES for my 04. They are complete with a mounting bracket. They are new never mounted. My SSR is yellow. The gauges are silver. Was going to paint, but wife said to put them on e-bay and buy a yellow set. Makes sense to me.

Have you looked into how many yellow 03-04 gauges sets are available?
Gauges were not an option until about 2/3 of the way into MY2004 production. You might want to reconsider the paint option if you really want to have gauges
ZZR is building gauge housings but that will entail painting also.

painting it yellow was the orignal plan, Took it to a couple body shops for a estimate. No one would paint it with the gauges and circuit board intack. They wanted me to take it apart. With the circuit board looking like it might break in the process, did not want to do that. Would probably never get it painted. That's when the wifes plan came to be.May take a while but I'll find a yellow set.

I like someone who takes on a challenge! Finding a 04 gage set is a challenge but one in Yellow, wow, now that is a challenge!!
Good luck but I would remove the gages, isn't hard to do, have housing painted.
My SSR: 05 Smokin Asphalt Adopted 28/8/10 Aux. Gauges, boards, Wester Tune&4:56 , TPMS, many Mikes goodies
Paint em
I too got a silver set last fall. Wanted them black to match
Very easy to take out gauges and board without damage. There are two screws holding in each pod from the back remove those, unclip the lines and remove (everything just lifts out). VERY easy... had to be if I could do it!
Then I sanded, primed, painted and clear coated 'em. Look great! Can't even guess how hard it will be for you to find a set of yellows....
