This is what I see happening constantly. '04 with less than 20K with bed treatment, matching boards, and aux gauges fetches a bid less than $23K and does not meet the reserve. Very typical, very typical!

Are we seeing the decline in the V8 gas hog market starting to affect the SSR's?

My sister has her Corvette up for sale and has been watching ebay and craigslist....much to her dismay prices are low and they are not selling....I think its a sign of the times with gas prices rising.

With the separation between regular and premium still about the same as a year ago the difference to drive the SSR over the Envoy is now only about 4% in stead of 14% if I am doing the math correctly in my head. I do not claim to be a math wiz but it is a good excuse to drive the fun truck. Just don't tell the oil companies.

I think you are a math wiz! You have pointed out something that I do not understand; that is how the gap has stayed at just a dime or so. Isn't all of the pricing relative? Shouldn't regular now be almost $.40 cheaper?

Adversely, if you use premium in your R aren't you glad that plus & premium are not proportionately more expensive than regular?

I purchased it for 6,K The Gas glut was on and no one was buying big V8's

No I got Married in April 1975 and sold it. The price had gone back up by then.
My wife Chris had a 1972 Dodge Charger and I had a 1970 Chevy PU with a 350 Bored and Stoked that would pull wheelies. That Truck is still in the family, one of my Nephews has it. We don't have the 72 Charger, we traded it in on a Olds in 1978.
I still have my 1974 TR-6 and three Ford Pickups a 1940, 41, and 42 The 1942 still has the original Army green Paint and Mud Grip Tires. She is definately a War Baby. The forty Ford is being Hot Rodded as we speak. The forty one is going to be Chopped and widened and maybe channeled to set her near the ground. The 41 will get the full Custom job. I have already finished the Frame for the 40 Hot Rod and it has the 425 Hp Motor and 700 R-4 Tranny. Chris drives her 2006 Buick Rainier and I drive the SSR more than she does. I like to drive the TR-6 also, it has also been bored but not too much just 40 over. I averaged 120 miles per hour from Bakersfield to Pismo Beach. normally a 2.5 hour drive. I made it in 1:15 min. Man that thing corners great. She tops out at 160 because of the gearing. Thats at 7000 RPM.
