We just recently bought one with similar search parameters (low miles 05-06 Automatic - actually even more specific however) - except the distance wasn't so important.

It cost us $800 to ship a car from OK to WV, but was worth it to get one with the stuff we wanted on it. (Fly and drive back would have cost the same) It also allowed for far wider selection and much more competition over pricing. With such a limited production car you might reconsider looking further away.

I will call My Cadillac dealer monday and find a repair shop in your area. The caddy folks are well trained in the drop tops.
Meanwhile I suggest to go to our Technical section and find the sticky for top operations by Marc NY and read thru all that info. Print out the top operation handbook off the Forum library, do a 'search' for it. (top right next to new posts...) I will be in touch as soon as I get some info
