Flash, did it have the scrapbook when you sold #12 ?
I've been trying since August 08 (still calling occasionally) to get it back from the previous owner. He sold me the guitar, but just can't be bothered looking through his stored memorabilia. Offered him a reasonable enticement (several bottles of expensive IceWine) but no luck, Still hope to get them reunited for whoever owns the Gibson truck.
I know where he lives. There are days I feel like getting on a plane to Chicago, and parking in front of the gates to his estate till he comes home in his Enzo or Veyron, or Maybach, or Mercedes McLaren or whatever he's driving that day.
It's a piece of unfinished business that still eats at me.

I guess the pervious owner is not so much a car lover as a car trader!

Just curious, is this guy the original owner of #12? Does he have GM connections?

Sig 12 went to a Chevy dealer from the auction, then to a private owner who put about 1000 miles on it in one year. Next owner put about 300 miles on it in 5 years, then traded it at a Mercedes dealer. I bought it from the Mercedes dealer, and was able to get the guitar back.
Initial conversations indicated he just needed to find the scrapbook, but after quite a few calls, emails, etc, none of which were returned, it became obvious he just couldn't be bothered to look. Bothers me that some valuable history could end up in a dumpster because someone doesn't care.
