Hi all, this is my first post, I'm just here posting a sale ad for my "not-so-very-computer-savvy" aunt.
If you have any specific questions, please ask. And I will either give you the answer promptly if I know it, or I will ask her and find out for you.
I'll get the exact number as soon as I can. The email she sent me said the car had 29k miles, but I was told yesterday it had 30,000. But it is somewhere in between. Price is negotiable, she had to idea what it's worth, because of the paint job, so it'll get started at $27,000... but feel free to lowball. I'm sure some of you on here are experts in the SSR field, so you would have a better idea on it's worth.
oops, sorry about that. I'll get it asap. On my way out the door for work right now.
And we're located in Northern California(south bay).

That's what I mentioned. None of us really knew what the value was, so it's easier to ask too much and go down, rather than start low and ask for more.
And if there are any other "special" options with the SSR's, please let me know. Like the bedliner, I didn't take any pics because I wasn't aware it was a special/optional item.
It actually has been garaged most of it's life. My aunt bought it, and never drove it. She drove her car and her husband was more of the collector. Already sold off the old Hudson and some dodge, now this is the last car to go.
Which accounts for the mileage and the fact that you local San Jose member havent seen it around.

Nice SSR.
Most items are visible in the pictures, except the cargo finish.
It is a 1SB and has:
14P - Chrome Wheels
BCP - Satin Engine Cover Insert
BVE - Satin Boards
ERG - Satin Gauges
If it has the ERK - Carpeted Cargo w/simulated wood strips it would be considered about as well appointed as possible for MY2004.
There are several "Dealer Installs" which could have been added, most of which would be visible in the cargo area.
Examples of "Dealer Installs" are:
CTD - Cargo Bar and Netting
C44 - Cockpit Windbreak
VR4 - Hitch Insert
E80 - Soft Storage Bags
RAE - Hard Storage Bins
DT3 - Storage Unit

I think your Aunt is going to find that the value on her 2004 SSR with 30K miles is going to be in the $22-$24,000 range. I bought my mint yellow 2004 SSR two years ago with 1325 miles for $25,500. The flames might add value to someone who really likes them. To some they would take away from the value.
If it were my SSR I would start at maybe $27,000 and go from there. Find out who did the flames? Maybe if it was someone that everyone knew in CA they might add a lot of value. Good luck.

thats a good idea. I'll see if she can track that info down. She is not the original owner of the SSR, she purchased it with the paint job already on it.

They might do a little better than $22K in Calif. if they are not in a hurry to sell. I agree with starting at $27K. Lots of SSRs on Autotrader. Also if there is a CarMax near by you could get a very, very low ball offer, About $5K less than it wroth. But it would give you the bottom line value.

Pretty well appointed SSR as it started out with Cargo netting, hard storage bins and a hitch so it would just be a case of confirming if those items are still with the SSR.

This was something I wondered about - in our search we've come across a few customized cars. My dad restored antique cars and for those folks anything other than original factory stock on a car was considered a big negative. OTOH the SSR almost screams "customize me". Ultimately something custom maybe limits the resale appeal to a smaller audience. Not sure if it adds much resale value even though something like that can be quite expensive. To some it could be extremely compelling however.
Still no answer really other than get what you like! :-)
