2003 ashtray door

Hi Guys,My name is Lou I`m new here and I just bought a 2003 SSR auto.Love this thing and quickly learning the ropes.Well I need a couple of things and hope someone can help.The ashtray door does not close the plastic clip that holds it close is broke so,I need a good used one(trying not to go to the dealer)if any one can help thanks.Also looking for the owners manual for a 2003 and last the right rear tailight lens.So hope someone can steer me in the right direction. Do you need the clip attached to the door, or the removable soft clip above the door.

Hello aj thanks for the reply,I just bought this vehicle and what ever holds the door closed is broke on the door.I don`t know what was there before if there was a clip or what.So any help would be great.Oh and I have a stupid ? Do all ssr`s have power mirrors? I don`t know if mine does,can`t find the switch so,I`m assuming it does not. Thanks again. Lou

Switch is on arm rest. Turn knob left or right to select mirror.

Thanks cash for the reply.My armrest does not have the mirror switch.When I feel the cusion,I feel the indentation of the hole under the cusion.I don`t know if it ever had them or if someone removed it.Kinda weird huh?Well thanks again. Lou

Very weird. I am quite positive it would have had the remote at one time but not sure why someone would take the effort to cover it up, working or not. Possibly he broke the knob off or something.

Let us knwo where you are located.Maybe there is someone close by that can look at what you have and help you figure out where to get what you need. Sometimes it is bettter to have someone who knows but has no vested interest in the purchase/sale take a look.

Loujpet, sounds like you need the outer doorskin for the asktray door. The little stud that holds the door close is part of the ashtray door skin. You can still get them from GM. I broke mine and replace it. Good luck.
