I seemed to have misplaced my key to the . I need the #1 keyfob and would appreciate any help at all!!! Also do you know if the original GM keys have the chip in it or if they're just regular keys? Thanks!!!
I have an '04 and nothing in the key itself. I have just gotten an extra key made and the parts lady said they are running short of the SSR keys. I believe you can buy a fob for about $50 and they can program it to your car.
Anote to all maybe getting an extra key made today is not a bad idea. Who knows how long they will be available without special order.
Don't know if I was any help but Good Luck.

When I bought my 04 the #1 remote was missing. I had to argue with the dealership to get one. They didn't have it in stock and when it came in they wanted to charge me $100 for the Tech2 programming......in the end they waived all charges because I bought so many cars from them.....good luck

Thanks for all of your helpful info....I'm watching one on ebay right now. It's a used one though....I'm just hoping nothing is wrong with it if I do buy it. The dealership told me that they don't have any in stock and they didn't know if/when they'd be getting anymore in. They want to charge me $50 to program it though. Me and my bad luck!!! Dangit!! I'm going to try and retrace my steps tonight so I can hopefully find my original.

YAY!!! My husband and I were searching high and low this past weekend and my hubby found my key! It was in the backyard the whole time. Even after a light rain shower...my fob was dry and it still works!! Thank you to everyone for your helpful advice!!! What would I do without my supportive family?
