Chrome Seat Hoops FS

Got a nice pair of electroplated seat hoops, $110 ea plus shipping and exchange (I'll need your satin ones returned to me).

is the electroplated the same as vacuum plated ?

No, electroplating is heavy duty chroming (much heavier than factory chrome).

Rob (C1TRob) and I installed a set of these on his SSR yesterday, and they look great.

Vacuum plating is junk.

Not even close. Electroplating is what is done to bumpers etc. Also our chrome package SSR parts.

Grip firmly at the top and pull straight up. There are 4 guide tabs at the bottom that are easy to break if you twist as the come out. Two snap clips in the top hold the hoops in place.

It doesn't matter if you knock off a tab or two, the hoops still fit tightly without them.

That said, be gentle when you remove the hoops, and don't let them break your nose when they release

I've removed and replaced easily a dozen or so, sometimes they break, sometimes they don't.

Sometimes they were broken when they were installed from the factory.

Mine didn't break You're right though, they tuck in nice around the leather.
