I paid $18.00 for two console keys a fews years back. Some Chevy dealers are not aware that A-1 Securities is the only vender that will make an original console key for your "SSR". If thats the case just give them this information: A-1 Securities FAX is 804.359.9415, or call 804.359.9003 ext 72. Don't bother to call them yourself because they will only take an order from a Chevy dealer that provides them with proof that you own the SSR.
I don't know if things have changed but back in '06 when I bought mine new it didn't have keys for the console.
I went to a local locksmith and he took the number off of the console lock and made me two keys on the spot. The blank even has "console" stamped on it.
I didn't think it was a proprietary key.

After buying a replacement Console Lock,due to not having a key when I bought my SSR,I found out that you had to have a key to remove the lock.I then went to the local Locksmith,told them the number on the lock,and they made me two keys on the spot for around $10.00.
