most anticipated product

Thanks, for the update Eric!
Patience is a virtue so no need to make more work for you. I know that I am not the only one in my family that is anticipating the way this is going to look on . The pictures you posted last month really got a lot of people's attention to a great product. Keep up the great work . you are going to make a lot of people very happy when this project is finally complete!

update

Eric
We still have not received any of our plastic shipments. It has reached a critical
point for us and GE has sent some of their technicians in to another extruder to
provide us another source for material.

Some of our material has been scheduled to run on tuesday the 24th of July. We may
see this material by wednesday afternoon. I have 3 other molds that I must run
first so I would think we could run your mold on July 31.

Hello fellow fanatics,
This is the email I recieved today from the thermoformer who is running the production of the nascar style chin spoiler for MPD1. I hope that it goes as planned and we can start delivering spoilers to all who have been waiting. Since I am not there on a daily basis I do not understand why the long holdup on the plastic. I have asked Richard to keep me posted on the 26th so I can get a SSR for hand trimming of the initial parts. After that we will walk the five axis trimmer around a trimmed part and everything will be automated at that point. I am doing more than keeping my fingers crossed here and have been talking to other venders about making this part also just in case. I know that I have been short on updates on this subject, but I really had little to share except for frustration on not having this project complete. Will keep you all posted as soon as I know more Eric-MPD1

Soon !

Hi Eric...

Thanks for the update - I know you share our anxiety over the delays with this project. We're coming up to our 1 year anniversary when it was first proposed. I, for one, understand some of the issues with developing products and I also know of your standards & ethics - so keep the faith and the faithful will be there when you're ready to ship -

Regards, Chick -

One Year Anniversary!!

Hard to believe this thread is over a year old now! (and still no Chin Spoiler) Got me to wondering how long it took Chevy to build the prototype SSR? Anybody know?

I really like the new hood that Eric showed us months ago and want one BUT for
me to send a $1000.00 in advance for something that may never happen no Thanks. I've been reading about the chin spoiler and how many people have been waiting
for it. I don't want to be on a list of disappointed customers still waiting for the goods.
Sorry and I know I'll catch h... but it's just my .02 worth

That hood is about 75% of the way completed so thanks to all the people who are getting theirs first
I am most disapointed that I do not have the front spoiler in ABS ready yet. Yes it has taken to long, I know that hobbel. I have not invested all this time and effort into this project to not see it to completion.

I guess thats the problem I have with this Eric you get people to fund your projects with promises of them getting the first available then you take your sweet time. What do you care not your money sitting out there for month's and month's. And your absolutely right not mine sitting out there either. But I do have a lot of friends on this site and you are taking advantage of their easy going good nature. You may be able to them and get away with it but I have been in manufacturing for over 30 years I know how long it takes to get molds made and injection molded parts manufactured over 1 year is absolutely ridiculous.
Eric you have dragged this out long enough get these people what they paid for!
