for some unknown reason some people are happiest when they are raining on someones parade???
remember the old adage if you can't say something nice, say nothing at all.
I don't have a horse in this race, but it seems like a lot of forum members are not going to be satisified until they work this into another Axiom affair of a couple of years ago. Something is not quite right here.
Eric, I have no doubt you have provided a good product in the past which is obviously why so many have waited patiently for so long. But we are all judged by what we do now not what we have done in the past. Many people have been burned purchasing things from this site with Axiom and now the Neon guy grgarberii. I along with quite a few others that were in the first group received our Neon lights. I even stuck up for the guy when the first people complained they were not getting their Neon light after many weeks. All this reflects negatively on the many people (me included) that supply a product to SSR owners and strive to ship them quality items in a reasonable amount of time.
As far as your good communication posting a new excuse every other month is far from good communication. And as far as the learning curve you are going through after a year you should be an expert by now.
So use that expertise and quit dogging this and get it done!! So we can all sleep better.
Hi Ray (I know...seeing posts from me is scary )
sooooooo, I was just reading through the forum rules......
--------------------
The Forum allows members to post regarding a bad transaction with a vendor or another Forum member, but only after they have made a reasonable effort to resolve the issue offline.
Then, when a post is made outlining the problem, the post must be factual and may not deteriorate into a rant or a vendor/tuner-bashing exercise.
We leave such threads open as long as they conform with Forum rules/guidelines and in order to give all sides in an issue the opportunity to comment. Forum members who have information relevant to the dispute may contribute to the thread, but should refrain from jumping in just for the purpose of stating their opinion.
John, You know you and I don't alway's see eye to eye but I do have to agree with you on this one. I crossed the line with that one post so I have deleted it and I apologize to any Fanatics that I may have offended by it. I feel the other posts are within the Forum rules so I have left them. If however Marc or Buffy feel they fall outside the rules as they are written I will make an adjustment to them.
My intensions have been obviously misconstrued by a few people as I wasn't trying to bad mouth anyone only motivate one person to finish what he started over a year ago.
Some of you including Eric seem to think this is some kind of personal vendetta on my part. I assure you it is not! I also feel If someone uses this site to sell something and solicits money from the members they have a responcibility to those members to follow through and finish what they started in a reasonible time. Some of you may not have a problem waiting a year or two but what about the new people coming in that maybe have not read through the years worth of posts and think they are going to get a Chin Spoiler only to pay and find out it may be yet another year. Im not trying to be the Chin Spoiler Police or any other thing I have been called I just want everyone to be informed so they can make up their own mind if they want to get involved in this. If that makes me the bad guy in your eyes too bad get over it!!
Thanks John for bringing it to my attention!
I agree with Jack 100%. Eric isn't happy that this is taking so long either. He's also offered to refund my money or give me one in fiberglass. I prefer to wait.
And so far as this quote from Doc, it appears to be true too. Why are you so concerned about what's going on with this chin spoiler? I don't think it's very nice of you to constantly "stir the pot". By the way... I like your wind suppressor and wanted to order one, but Eric is my friend so due to your antagonism toward him, I'll never be able to get one.
Damn... I'd rather be lovin' everyone in our "family" and I've been forced to post a nasty post. But I will stand up for my friends, that's what friends do.
Yeah....you tell em sis! BTY today is the 1 year anniversary of my ordering the chin spoiler. I can be patient and look forward to the spoiler

Ok... Now I need to get involved with this bickering - I was not asked to pre-pay for the spoiler - I, along with others, volunteered a sum of money to assist Eric with the cost of tooling the part and getting in the queue for delivery. I asked him and he replied with a value that I found acceptable.
I am still waiting and I will continue to wait until Eric feels that the part is ready for us.
- Will someone please put an end to this thread, so that those involved can retreat and lick their wounds -

Okay here is your chance to get that Nascar chin spoiler that we've all been begging ASC for. The supplier......Eric Peters of www.Mpd-inc.net. I have been working with Eric to supply the Fanatics with the unavailable ASC version of the Nascar chin spoiler. Eric is ready to step up to the plate and produce the part. You have all by now seen his fantastic work with the SSR hood, running boards and recently released rear spoiler! Why wait on the never to be released ASC "package" that has a preliminary price of $3000 if it ever becomes available?
We need 20 Fanatics to commit to the purchase of the Nascar styled chin spoiler. The spoiler will be as close to the Nascar design as you can get without buying it (if you could) from ASC. The Nascar spoiler will be available from Mpd-inc in a matter of weeks once the commitments have been reached.
Surely we have 20 fanatics that want this spoiler! Voice your commitment on this thread or directly to Eric Peters @ 219/548-2673 or via email @ mpdparts@comcast.net.
How do you install it , is it glued on , or what? Looks great .

Reason: none
I spoke with Eric two days ago - he said he thinks the spoiler is going well, that the extruder has fabricated a few of them, that they are tweaking them now.
That said, feel free to call or email Eric for the straight poop.

I hope this is close to being done, I realized it has been almost ,if not more than a year waiting on this. Granted it is a great price , being one of the first twenty, but I am running out of room for things that need to be painted black and I am waiting for the chin spoiler so I can get everything painted at the same time

Me too - I went ahead and had everything else painted - I'm waiting to paint the chin spoiler and L88 hood at the same time.
What the latest news on the L88 hood? I haven't seen anything on that subject in a long time.
...or did I miss something recently...
When I spoke with Eric last week, that's what I called him for. He said he's confident he can be shipping them in about four weeks +/- . The middle of October is my target for paint shop reservations.
I'll provide this caveat - it is being fabricated, and delays happen. This was my conversation with Eric, and I did not try to "nail him down" to a hard date. Again, if anybody wants more precise information, I suggest calling Eric. He's a great guy and I'm sure he would be glad to speak to you.
