Bernie's nerf bars
I spoke to Eric yesterday about the front spoiler being used on an SSR with Bernie's nerf bars. He had mentioned that a member was going to cut the screen in the opening and run the nerf bars through the opening.
It won't fit.
Eric said the opening is just over 26" wide. The nerf bars measure 34" overall width.
You can see by the photo where the bars line up.

Now that I have seen that picture I know it can still be done. You would just need to make a hole on the plastic instead of the mesh. Looks like it would be in the area that curves into the opening.

It would take more than that Eric.
The two nerf bars are welded to the cross bar that goes across the lower grille bar.
The nerf bars are welded to vertical bars that are welded to flanges that attach to the frame.
Slots would have to be made through the top of the spoiler down to where the bars would end up. The spoiler would have to be installed after the nerf bars.
The good thing about this is there are only a few of these nerf bar setups out there. Bernie is no longer making them.

Hi, Charlie
I'm the one doing the experimenting on this, but I should be OK. I went one step further when I installed the nerf bars, so that I could eventually put on Eric's spoiler. See - I can have faith and be patient.
I cut the horizontal tubes about 2 inches from where they are welded to the vertical tubes, and inserted a sleeve. All I need to do is take off 2 bolts, slide the nerf bars off, line up where I need to cut the spoiler and reinstall the nerf bars after the spoiler is cut, painted and installed.
I'll let you know how it all works out.
You could still do that with yours, but if your bars are welded to the frame, the cutting and drilling of holes would have to be done on the truck instead of in a bandsaw and drill press. Maybe a plasma cutter? Drilling the stainless might be a bit of a challenge.
I also welded a 1/8" bar to the frame, then drilled and tapped the bar and frame so I could bolt the nerf bars on. I can go from nerfy to non-nerfy in a couple minutes.
Only problem - some of my Fanatic friends have their eyes on my nerf bars, and they're easily removed.

What are the modifications to be done before attaching the chin spoiler, and how difficult will fitting be? Eric are you able to supply them painted?vavoom

No modifications required at all. The hardest part about fitting will be getting it level under the foglamps. That measurement is about 1 in below the curve of the foglamp hole. I am not going to offer painting. Paint should be matched to your SSR as there are many variences of the same color.
