How it came about......

I feel partly responsible encouraging Eric's donor to step up.

Was talking to "Cliff" in the bank parking lot about our "Purples". He was interested in some aftermarket items which I have from MPD. Eric showed up during the conversation and the two put their heads together to make this weekend the start of the "spoiler" project.

Cliff....you better get the "rockers" before you leave Indiana...You won't ever find a better price

P/P

Peace

Thanks!

Hey, what a good news! So the production should start soon! Thanks to Eric / MPD
that he is this going to do this project. It looks that this is a great & very supporting company. Other companys would not even think about to produce a part, not bevor theyr sure for selling 500pcs or more....
I do not know any other company like this, exept maybe Billet Specialties.
Awaiting the good news from Eric, soon as my spoiler is finished. Thanks again!

Eric,

Don't forget about us down here in Australia. I can let the guy at MCI know in Melbourne - he is the one doing R/H conversions over here. Once you have it made up let us know what the cost to ship to Townsville 4811 Queensland Australia. Otherwise let us know dimensions and we may have to see about getting it shipped to LA and then put in a container to Brisbane.

To address another ?, It will look very similar to the nascar spoiler. I plan on making the opening slightly bigger for better airflow to the coolers. Thanks to everyone who is planning on getting one.It will be great to see the front of all these SSRs "completed".

Count me in for one too... If I were closer, you could use our SSR before it goes to the paint shop.

Yes, Cliff and his friend Janice dropped off his SSR on Saturday so we can begin developing the front spoiler. I will get to work on that later in the week. Thanks again Cliff, we enjoyed out time spent visiting.

Actually while we were at WDC Doug (raticalssr) and I were looking at the front of an 04 and an 05 and there is no difference that is visible to the eye. Has Doug at 3G ever asked any of you that have his spoiler what year your SSR is?

Let me simplify it...

When Doug built the 3G spoiler, he used Hotrodgirl's '04 as a donor vehicle. When he finished fitting and photograhing it, he shipped that first one to me to try on my '06. It was a perfect fit. This design validation was key to marketing it for both models. There is only one mold design and it fits both year sets. I have personally installed one on each of the model year sets (3-4 and 5-6) and can tell you that it fits exactly the same on both.

All this questioning seems to have originated in late 2004 or early 2005, when Axiom insinuated that there was a difference between the years. I don't know what their reasoning was, but this misinformation persists today.

If you check the parts books at GM, you should find that a Red '04 fascia and a Red '05 fascia have the same part number.

Regards,

Mike

Part #

According to my Motor Estimating system 03-04 have a part #88943617 and 05-06 have part #15285514 listed for front facias. Now this does not necessary mean that the facias are shaped different. Newer models may have a relocated mounting tab or some other minor detail change that would create a new part number. My opinon is that there is no outside difference between all models.

Well, in spite of saying I was done with spoilers, she looks pretty lame without one so I am gonna spring for this one. You can't beat the price and i am sure it will fit the 03. You can always drill holes and put in more clips to tweak these things to fit better anyway. It looks beautiful.

Will the spoiler be a clearance problem with a lowered SSR?

You are going to lose a couple of inches of clearance there so extra care will need to be taken.
