I took a quick look under my SSR when I saw this thread. It looks like that nasty hole that GM blew threw the frame has to be made larger for starters. I like the look and the sound but I would have to have the installation done by someone else. I would also have to purchase the Kooks headers and cats.

Does anyone know if Mike in AZ's old school exhaust sounds as loud as this one?

Charlie

I now have a 4 inch piece of steel pipe welded through the frame and brackets (which I woud remove and send with the pipes- the brackets not the hole)

it took me & a friend about 4 hrs to cut the hole and fit & weld the pipe

the sidepipes could be fitted to the stock exaust or to dynamax headers fairly easily by a muffler guy, they are made to slip right on the kooks hi-flow cats.

if anyone wants more in depth info pm me with your phone # and I'll be happy to call you with all the steps and any other questions you have

I don't know if this is louder than Mike's I'll ask him

Hi Charlie:

If you come over to my house, you can fire up my SSR and listen to my MIA Exhaust System first hand. I'll be in the hospital for the next 1 to 2 months, but you can make an arrangement with Jan to come on over. You'll love the system - Ask Dan (Poppa).

I already told him that they sound great (like a big block) but you really need to hear them yourself. Are you able to bring your cell phone to the hospital? Can you or Jan keep us posted as to how your doing. There are a lot of people on the forum that care

Too cool, lucky you. Mike posted these for sale about 10 minutes after I had ordered my new exhaust and headers... I was so tempted to pay the re-stocking fee. At least now I'll get to look and listen to them once in a while!
