I'm trying to buy a rear spoiler that will be shipped painted. I have been in a go-around finding the AQUA BLUR paint code for the fabricator. Sources gave me codes that were incorrect. (one was for a Bermuda Blue and another was for Cobalt Blue Metallic etc.) AQUA BLUR doesnt show up on searches but I paid extra for it. Is the code hidden on the SSR somwhere? I've looked at the glovebox, doors, behind the seats and a seance with madamn Lucy. please HELP me find this code forum Bothers and Sisters...

I'm pretty sure Bermuda Blue Is Aqua Blur 26U.....
You can search other threads that talk about it by putting Bermuda in the search bar.

I'm thankful for this forum and really appreciate the posts and the pm's - I got the rear spoiler color code to the fabricator here in Florida and will eagerly await another item for the SSR, a raised glass of beer for the forum fanatics tonight (with a shot of jack to chase it)

Yea, verily! Bermuda blue is what GM called it when they put it on models other than the SSR. Been through that one before. The Ultra Violet codes is U245E, and I think another name for it is Radar Blue....
I know every one says Bermuda Blue and Aqua Blur are the same but I gotta tell you a buddy of mine has a 06 Avalanche thats 26U and when you put my SSR beside it there is a world of difference no way the same? Why? guess I will need to post photos?

When the spoiler gets here I'll let ya know how I made out with the color matching And thanks OC that was the best link listing the code so far I viewed.

I have seen that sometimes the material that they use on some types of injected parts do not come out to match paint colors due to the material and not to mention the use of the same color primer used on the org. pnt. BEWARE!!!! In the old days and not sure of the present, when the factory starts painting cars at the first of the day the last one painted will be a slight different color. What I trying to say is red is the color of today, the last 1 painted may be a different red even though using the same color code. May not be like that these days due to more modern equip. At one time I dealt with auto pnt. Acme, Martin/S, Dupont, PPG. R&M, SHERMAN/W and more. That was old school. As always, my input could be all wrong. I am sure of one thing, there are allot of factors that effect the outcome of pnt. matching.

You are correct Big Jim... the spoiler arrived but its definitely BLUE and not the GREEN of the Aqua Blur. I will be dropping it off to the body shop with my SSR to have it matched up. ( the code on the glove box says 214M, I ordered that and it came with a beautiful blue instead of Green metallic.) I give up.............

Reason: More confusion
Great news, another rear deck wing spoiler is being sent to me by the eBay seller. stainlessgrillesplus stepped up and had his vendor paint another with the Aqua Blur metallic color. Hope to have by Christmas!!!
All Paint Codes Have What Are Called Variants, And 9 Times Out Of 10 The Base Color Has To Be Tinted And Or Blended For Exact Color Match.

Hey Everyone!
I went to the local chevy dealer to pick up some touch up paint for spongebob, and for some reason the color wasn't quite the right shade. (79U) They told me to go to the body shop and get some from them. I was told by the shop foreman it was going to be a lot more then then buying from the parts department. After waiting about twenty minutes the foreman come out with a realy big bottle of paint and had a brush attached to the lid. (Sweet!) He then told me that he was informed by the store manager that he can NOT charge for the paint.
Needly to say I was very happy, and the paint was a perfect match...........

Exactly........and this is why I didn't supply my spoilers painted......... For everybody to be happy.....the paint should be color matched by the "PAINTER".......It makes for a more harmonious outcome.......... But then again, ther a lot of SSR's running around , where the the paint doesn't match on various parts of the body.......And this is straight out'a the factory......... Wolfie
The rear spoler was received and its the exact color needed to match the Aqua Blur SSR that nows has a new "look" They told me to keep the other one and I have a spare if ever needed.
