CNC Laser Cut 1/8 inch thick aluminum trim grille kits to fit over the molded recesses on the sides of 2003-2004 Chevrolet SSR Engine Covers. (Engine Cover is not included).
Available with Bright Yellow SS's and Red R or, Rally Wheel Silver SS's and Red R. The grille itself is powder coated in Eastwood Chrome which looks a lot like shiny aluminum paint.
The kits include stainless steel bolts, lock nuts, and fender washers. Also included are snap-on chrome plastic screw covers. Installation is done by drilling two small holes on each side of the engine cover.

Wow! Both installations look VERY cool! I snagged off both images. They look even better on the painted engine covers rather on just the black as they come from the factory.
If you win a trophy at a car show be sure to show us that too.
A couple more pics of your engine cover insert. Jack (GO N BYBY) and I were at a car show in Leavenworth, WA on Saturday. The covers look great and we received lots of comments about them.
I am going to paint my "R" black so that it will stand out more agains my red cover.
Thanks! That does have a nice look to it alright. Maybe I should offer them in a do-it-yourself version? I was trying to come up with a color combo that would work with the majority of the installations. I wasn't thinking about painted engine covers. Oh well.
It would be hard to prepare the insert for everyone. It was a simple process to paint it (although powder coating would be nice). Your product is exceptional and looks good. It allso saved Jack and I from having to build our own.

The 2005-2006 engine covers are curved and rounded. (I have a 2005). These were specifically made for the straight flat style engine cover of the 2003-2004 covers.
But, you can mount the 2003-2004 cover on the other models. There are some available for sale and customization here and there if you want to place an ad in the parts section. Some Fanatics have installed super chargers and have no use for them anymore.
So the question I have is: where to I find paint for turning the engine cover from factory ot Slingshot yellow?
Any automotive paint supplier can mix the paint. But, I'd suggest having a local auto body shop do the work for you if you are inexperienced with painting. There are tricks involved.
