I almost forgot the best part. After Roy had a chance to drive around Penticton he declared that his truck was faster - all due to his red brad ball cover and then he went on to win a trophy for his SSR. Is that impressive or what?

Wear Off Chrome Plating Issue

A couple years ago someone else was selling shifter covers (I think it was one of the Az Fanatics) and I thought after awhile it was reported that they began wearing away the chrome plating. Let me see if I can find the thread.

I just read the thread link. It sounds like Mike is referring to the actual ball. He talks about having a spare that came from the factory. No mention of a cover, just in the title. I'll pm him to confirm

I think Mike was referring to the OEM leather cover that came with some six-speeds... it fits rather snugly on the six-speed shifter knob but can slip around. If it slips a lot (regularly) it will wear the chrome off the knob.

Oh yes, that little "hat", I can't see how anyone could actually drive with thing on, it's very sloppy as far as fit.
My covers are snug as a bug, no slip what so ever.

Beach Pot - looks good Wayne wants to know where you got it

Use this for 3d decal or House of flames for flat decals etc.

Been buying from this Ebayer for years..high quality! I am picky. No other Ebay merchant can match it. I know- I have a box of crap from several of them. Has a huge store for the SSR but can provide any Auto emblems and other pretty-pretty. LOL Tell Wayne to click on 'cars' and then to Chevrolet for the bowties.

Thanks Sandy

Thanks Sandy for making those great shifter covers, I showed it off during the Texas International. They came in handy during those hot days, when the temp was smoking hot. No burnt or blistered hands for me!

Thanks Sandy,

Duane

your welcome Duane, glad to hear they were a hit
I'll have to find out from Phoenix who won the cover I sent down for the raffle in TX. I sent a 6-spd cover, but if an auto owner was the winner I will send them an auto cover for sure

Sandy... just as Duane said, you saved me from a hot shiftin' hand in Texas. The cover was well used the entire trip. Thanks again! I'm going to pm you with an order for another one.

I edited the first post to better state why someone may want to remove it; at the mechanics (6-spd).
