Spare tires/wheels

Spare tires/wheels? Where might I get them? I know the manual says to reinflate a flat, but would like to consider having one front and one rear spare.

If you use a 225/65-17 on a 17x7 Trailblazer wheel, you will be at a really good compromise point. This is a 28.6 - 28.7 tire that is about half way between the front diameter and rear diameter. Narrower wheel and suitable for either end.

Good to know mike, I am picking up an '04 slingshot on 6/1/11 in Houston, TX area. Long ride back to Nashville with no spare..... will probably take my 12v slime pump and a can of flat fix and tire plug kit just in case. I will shop for a spare wheel and tire. are you the MIKE with the under bed kit? if so whats it cost? and from the pics I have found it looks like the tire is awfully close to the exhaust pipes. being a fireman this concerns me...

You Already Have One~

Hey Truckie,

Our R's come with an air compressor and a can of "slime". It's in a kit mounted behind the drivers seat.

Enjoy the R!

Which begs a question I have been meaning to ask, What is the shelf life of that initial can and what is the best current replacement??

Regards

Jerry

I'd recommend carrying a real spare tire, via Mike...
