SSR Door Bars

The SSR Door Bars are now available, in pairs, from my web store. They are heavy chrome plated, solid steel bars, approximately 24" long designed to hold your doors open at car shows. The bars are machined to lock into the door jamb fixture and have a solid steel pin that inserts into the latch mechanism on the door. They don't rattle and will not bend.

Once in place, the SSR electrical system recognizes that the doors are latched and will allow you to lock them and set the alarm. This will, in turn, allow spectators to view the inside of your truck and still maintain a great level of security.

Thes bars are hand made in the mid-western USA by the same craftsman that makes them for the Corvettes. Price is $110 per pair, plus shipping. An order of "one" will have one pair shipped to you. They are sold only as a pair.

I'm pleased to provide this robust piece of hardware to my fellow fanatics. Here is the direct link for this product in my web store.

Sorry this took so long to bring to you, but I think it is worth the wait.

Best Regards all,

Mike,
I know we had talked about those in the past and that you had something in the works. Thanks for finally making it happen for those of us who regularly show and cruise-in our SSRs. The item looks great, and the design at the door striker is even better than the one I've seen for the C5 Corvette which does work on the SSR.

Just ordered/paid for my set of door props.

Mikey, maybe I could consider buying stock in Simple Engineering....as my SSR has become a demo of the products that you offer!

I've seen these door bars in person, and they are top notch (and will make Hellvis look sexy ).

I'll take a set Mikey.

Mikey,
Looks nice.
Question, are these door bars available in non chrome?
I'm thinking some of us might like the bars color matching their SSR or whatever.

Hi Jeff,

All of the ones that I currently have are chromed, but when I order the next batch, I could have a few sets done in bare steel....... They aren't very pretty that way, but yes..... I could do that and sell them for an appropriate discount......

Hello Fanatics:Yes,Mike AZ is smooth,he pulls out these beautiful chrome bars
at Penticton,Bc this last June, and of course,my eyes light up like the northern lights,Mike comes over(next to us there)and places them in the doors Saturday morning, there they stayed until the show was over, the Canadians didn't buy the last set so,Mike & Dan allowed me to buy his last set! They are very cool guys! You know in my profession, when we give a customer a vehicle to take home to show the wife etc. this is known as the puppy dog close, hopefully, after he has shown the wife and the neighbor's the new car or truck,he's on the closing side of ownership, worked on me!
The first person I thought of was Alex,I know he made his version, but this one is absolutely top knoch, and strong, one could lean up against the door and it wouldn't budge!! Plus the security benefit,Oh,hey I already have a set, stop selling myself, nice to buy top quality ssr parts and Mike's Simple Engineering ,handles only the best of everything when it comes to cool accessories for our special SSR's!! Thanks,Mike for your devotion to excellence and allowing all us fanatics the opportunity to reap the benefit!! PS: I recognize the photo!

Hal,

Yep, I got my set a couple of weeks ago. VERY NICE! Thanks goes out to Mikey for getting these made for our SSRs and still at a decent price. Heck, the ones for the Corvette sell for $250.00 for the pair.
