Re: Hitch

The safety chains are to attach to the vehicle in case the ball nut comes loose or the ball snaps off. The hitch does meet DOT. It is a European design also used on VW, BMW, and others.

I may be replacing mine. Need to find keys, as it is now living happily on my Babe. I might be converting to a 2" receiver bar. I might be towing my Airstream... but it does work out on paper. I currently tow with my Honda Odyssey!

Someone talk me out of it, but you'll need to be knowledgeable. I am stubborn.

Great thread Doug.
I also have some items, like (1) satin fog light ring, original springs, etc.
Need to do inventory. I have everything I need or want.

I'm working on a spreadsheet to list all of the available parts that I have stockpiled, from very generous donations plus the parts I've stashed over the years. It may take a while, but know this - I will never charge more than my cost for these parts to bonafide members of this Forum.

As always, if you need a part, please post it in this thread, because if I don't have the part, there are members literally all over the world that have expressed their willingness to help.

If you don't post your needs, we can't help you!

Again, if you have a part or two you'd like to sell (at a reasonable price) or donate, please post that here as well.

Thank you, thank you very much

Guys, I'm needing a sight sheild bracket for the LS2 intake manifold and can't find one anywhere. Can someone help me? This is the bracket that holds the engine cover to the intake manifold. Please PM me if you have something.

I do not have the inner fender - maybe another member does? You can also check with RSSRTOY, BYERS and the wrecking yards such as Cleveland Pick A Part, Schramm's, etc.

I know you can purchase the push pins from GM.

Satin or Chrome 19" ? Wishing to see if it's cheaper to get a used one, if possible, from you vs. sending mine out for repair on Oahu.

Hi, & great thread!

I ordered new Grabber UHP tires based on recommendations here, and I will have both front & the right rear only stock tires available. They aren't brand new, but still have a fair amount of life left in them.

I will also have a (what looks like) a brand new Toyo Prox 295/40/20 coming off of the left rear.

I am looking for the saddle bags (soft or hard), or some sort of Factory storage for the rear; maybe the cargo bars and a net?

PM me if I can do anything, or help anyone out.

Thanks for the offer on the tires - if anybody needs them, they are located in Washington State.

You can PM member Dent for the soft saddle bags, he's got a set for sale.

I've got two sets of hard saddle bags, but the cost to ship to WA would be fairly spendy.

PM Fourhounds for a cargo bar and net, he's got a new one for sale.

Sorry Mike, I was sick last week and forgot about you. I've got two used satins that I'm into for $ 125.00 each.

You can PM Fourhounds, he's got a satin in "very good condition" (his description, I have not seen it) priced reasonably.

I'll do an inventory over the Thanksgiving holiday and post a spreadsheet.

Maybe I can get my buddy Mikey to help out?

I have 2 General grabber UHP tires, size 275/45/19 with less than 100 miles on them. Would be interested in selling outright or trading for Eibach, Belltech or Ground Force lowering kit.

The panhard bar has gone to a member in need

I know I said I'd do a spreadsheet of available parts in the exchange, but there are so many parts that I just haven't had the time.

If you need parts or have any for sale at a reasonable price, or wish to donate parts, please post in this thread.

Thank you, thank you very much

PS, if you are looking for parts, please read through this thread, you might find what you're looking for!

Doug;

Seems to me that we should develop a "regional" list of available SSR replacement parts and donors, and a "central" contact telephone number (you) to access them.
I'm in Michigan and I have few parts, which would be much more accessible (quicker and cheaper) than parts that you have in AZ.
Being able to get a used part (i.e fan) that could be a donation or a loaner, or a new ignition switch that could be replaced later, getting the vehicle back in operation a.s.a.p. is the issue.

The idea is to list parts that are available, wherever they may be - the person that has the parts may bring them to my shop (if close by) or keep them on hand. They do not need to be shipped to Phoenix.

As I've stated before, I will compile a comprehensive list of parts available (and locations) and the donor / seller. Time is the killer - I'm hoping I can shanghai Mikey during the week between Christmas and New Years to get the list done.

In the meantime, keep posting parts you need or have to sell / donate.

Doug

You look different in your red santa suit....

I have the following available:
-2 tailgate cables (1 good cond., 1 with a few nicks in the plastic coating but cable underneath is fine)
-OEM plastic lower radiator support.
-also would have a spare ignition switch available to someone in an emergency situation in/around Brazoria Co., TX on weekends (only time I'm near my barn & SSR)

Not much, but gave my other spare stuff to Byers at the rally.

In the spirit of what Doug has started here, I'll list some parts that I have available. These I don't really want to dispose of, but they would be available for emergency bailout for traveling fanatics in the area. I'm located in southern Michigan right off of US-23 ( the main north south artery ), and I have tools, floor jack, and air available.
Parts:
2 front and 2 rear GY tires 1/2 tread left.
stock radiator
stock fan
stock rad. support
stock exhaust sys. 05
stock intake and TB 05
stock dr. shaft 05, 6 sp.
stock rockers, springs, pushrods, valvecovers
