SSR Rear Tires

I currently have 18 of the 295/40R20 Goodyear Eagle RSA tires available if anyone is interested. Cost is $306.11/ea plus shipping (which is about $25/ea). [Please use PMs to contact seller] Include the "ship to:" ZIP code when sending E-mail for accurate shipping cost.

I received an email from Goodyear stating that they did NOT have a production date for the next round of tires....just to let anyone looking know.
(I went with a different brand this time because I couldn't find a set of tires)

I don't blame you. Most folks want the front one's but I thought I'd at least let everyone know I did have rear tires for those buggers. I have four (2 of each) as spares. I keep them in a vault (lol)....

How do you like the other brand ??? I ahve no traction at all with the RSAs I was on the way to work this morning a some idiot tried to run over me. I down shifted to second at 30 MPH and punched it only to light them up for over 100 feet. This is fun to do but not good for the thread lasting very long. I don't have a SC or anything wild so I can imagine what they are like. It was about 50 degrees out at 5 AM so not real cold.

I also have poor traction with the OEM Goodyears. Hate to try to drive safely in the rain showers. Usually start in 2nd gear as I dont trust the 1st gear as the tires hydroplane at lightest touch. Dunlops? KDWs?, Firestone?. I havent made a replacement choice yet - but real soon with spring showers coming in April.

Staying exactly with oem sizes really limits your choices and is unnecesary and in fact some of the optional sizing can fine tune your handling and appearance. Specific michelins, goodrich, continentals, and toyos have all been used here and are all superior to the stock tires in traction and control.

Thanks, I am using Toyos now and have been for about a year. Just wondering if (Jim) SSR03 was using the firehawks in OEM sizes.

Apology accepted. I've sold a few to members in OK, CA, and NJ. I wish I could get the front one's but the last communication I got from Goodyear had them "Not Scheduled" on the factory schedule. As soon as I know some are available I'll post the news.

Have a great day

I am calling my distributor and asking him to double check if Goodyear finally placed these in their production schedule. If they did I'll get an ETA.

I spoke with my distributor and he says Tire Rack is speculating and that these tires, the 255/45R19's Eagle RSA's, are still not showing up on Goodyears production schedule as of this morning.

I just emailed GY customer relations.....let's see what they say.

While getting other tires on mine yesterday, I spoke with a guy who used to work for GY. He told me that Katrina really messed up GYs raw material supply line including losing entire warehouses full of raw material which has been causing them problems ever since....I never would have thought of that.

It'll be interesting to see what CR at GY tells you. Please share their response with the rest of us.

I got in touch with GY and they said production for the front tire will happen the end of April. I asked 4/21? She said the week after.

She told me that there were 2 Fronts available nationwide in 100H, BUT
She said there were 48 fronts available in 100V.....I didn't even know they made the 100V.

I did not ask about rear tires since there are still some around...as you know.
