Any chance of selling the rear deck struts here to me now? Can you send me a price? I do have a 2004, so they should be able to fit that year SSR. Thanks

I understand, it would be easier selling here, but of all the SSR Folks that I have met since 2005, 3/4 of them don't use this forum. It is only fair to me and them that they all have a chance at the items.

No shame in maximizing the dollars you get for your stuff, no need to paint it as being a fairness thing. Most of us feel better offering stuff first to our fellow fanatics at a reasonable price. It's kinda like keeping it in the family, sounds like you just have a much bigger family.

Like I said Fairest to Me and Others. There is a Big SSR World out there, many owners are not members here for many reasons and I paid Retail or above to get parts for my SSR. Yes, fair is that it goes to the highest Bidder, my view. No One ever cut me any slack except Doug Allen, Byers and TommyZ.
have a nice day.

Phil, you've been a great member of the SSR Fanatics since day one.

Thanks for giving the Fanatics a "heads up", good luck with your auctions.

If I decided to sell our SSR's, I might do the same thing you have with your parts.....try to maximize my return on parts that I've accumulated over the years, and paid more for those parts in the past than they will sell for currently in the Forum. I sell parts that I have bought in the Parts Exchange at my cost normally, but those parts I bought 3-4 years ago I paid more for than they currently sell for, due to GM providing them years later at a lower price.

I sell those parts at current prices, not at the inflated rate that I paid years ago.....call me stupid.

Don't let anybody that thinks you should sell them in the Forum bother you, best of luck my friend.

If I'm on the wrong side of this with Doug Allen there is a good chance I'm screwing up. What bums me about this thread is that it is in the "Parts for Sale" section when in fact the parts can not be purchased at any price. Should be in the "Come check out my Ebay Store" section or a supporting vendor. I wish I could cut him some slack but he's not on my list of the three members that have ever cut me any slack.

I could not agree more, ChuckDuck.

This approach to selling SSR stuff borders on "sleazy" and, just for the record, I have no need nor any interest in any of these items.

I don't agree! using the forum to advertise or promote your sale on e-bay is just being resourceful and maximizing your membership here. Although I don't really believe the crap about being fair to everyone as a motive. I have no problem checking out the e-bay sale and bidding on something if I am interested in it.
In reality it is probably more fair to the majority of people to have an equal opportunity to get a part they want than if they were just lucky enough to be the first person to see his ad had he posted one here for sale!

Post Whore, my 2 cents on everything, sleazy is a PIG, Just for the record. I only wish this forum was like Viper Alley, where anything goes. No interest fine, leave it at that. Obviously, I rocked the "my must say something" Gods. This is the SSR Parts For Sale Section or Wanted. Some people want or need these parts, it meant as a heads-up for those looking for stuff for their SSR, not for some of those that just have a opinion of everything. Need parts fine, just trying to help and recoup some of the money I spent on my SSR, if not please move on.

I guess I don't really blame the guy for trying to recoup his costs for the items he has purchased in the past. I would like to say that I was more than willing to pay a fair price for one of the items. Obviously that is not in the deck of cards. So....deal'em up on eBay and I hope nothing but the best for you.

I don't see a big deal about Ebay. Prices have come down on SSR stuff as Doug has explained. Plus, you have 9% value selling fees and Paypal fees and the time for shipping and you get little bonus net-net for selling there anymore. If there's still people in there with the "fever"...then let them have it. I am gonna look for sure and set my price....and if it goes over...oh well.

Good luck Royal.

What am I missing? Phil purchased items at asking price, he has every right to set his own asking price when he decides to sell them. Two words...FREE ENTERPRISE - from what I hear it makes the world go round.

Because if it's just free enterprise then why does anyone here answer questions without charging a fee, why are there members with spare tires around the country waiting to help another fanatic, members donating money when another is sick or has a tragedy or a parts donation program? Just suggested that he would be keeping it in the family if he set a price for what he wanted and offer it to the fanatic family first, he goes on to tell us that save three people nobody on this site has ever done anything for him. i'd bet a check of his posts would show different but it takes all kinds some people feel part of the community and some just have a house on the block.

If I offended anyone, especially Phil, I apologize.

However, since having recently been on the receiving end of a "less than ethical" sale gone sour on here, I have become a little less accepting and a lot more suspicious.

When I agreed with ChuckDuck, I meant exactly what I posted. Listing items for sale on here and then not selling on here "borders on sleazy" and definitely nothing to do with FREE ENTERPRISE or anything close as every seller loves to get top price and every buyer loves to get a bargain . . . Basic Human Nature.

Once again, Phil . . . I apologize if you took my post personally as it was not intended to be and GOOD LUCK on your eBay selling.

Those individuals help make this place "a family", and deserve our thanks - although I'm sure what they do is not for recognition. However we can't hold everyone to that standard - it shouldn't be EXPECTED.

Call me stupid, again, but I don't get the negative reactions regarding Phil's posting of this thread.

He posted that he has items that he is listing on eBay that he wants to sell, and let the Fanatic members know about them in advance, so they would have a "heads up" on those items. He made his intentions clear from the outset, and did not solicit "offers".

Those that have been miffed, or have called his posting "sleazy " should have actually read his initial post.

I sure hope that those individuals don't try to sell their excess parts outside of the Forum when they move on from their SSR, for whatever reason.....if they do, they will be reminded of their prior posts.

NOTHING is forever, you may sell your truck, get in an accident and total it, get it repo'd, need to sell it for health reasons..... And when it happens, I hope you remember this thread when YOU want to get as much out of your remaining parts as you can.

Very bad form, in my opinion.

if the a moderator (OP) was as concerned as much about a thread starting to get negative with some name calling as he is with posting threads in the wrong forum (big deal ?) , he would close this thread.

I agree with Doug, it a bad forum.

Other then what Royalshowing posted, some of what others posted is really uncalled for!

I suggest that either the Administrator or one of our Moderators move the thread to SMOT so that we're not displaying rudeness in a openly public forum.

Moving this thread to SMOT, or closing it because a member decided to be rude will hurt the sale of parts that Royalshowing has posted, properly, in the "Parts for Sale" forum.

I see nothing wrong with posting that the items will be going up for sale and where you can buy them.

Just my 2 cents....
