Have a question for you on center console cup holders?
I ordered two new cup holders from GM Direct and they sent me cup holders that mount horizontal but on my console the mount is vertical mount. I have an early production 2005 do you think they were still using the 2003 and 2004 console design?
I did not even opened the packages noticing they were the wrong mount and GM Direct tells me they are not returnable. What do you think?
My SSR: Ricochet Silver built 11-8-04, #17696. K&N, headers, Flowmaster,Trifecta Tuned, Phoenixed Tranny
the guy that owned the R before me cut them off the console
i didnt know what went there till i met up w another R owner and he showed me his
i would have to put a new black under-console part and then the cup holder in to make it work
no fun

If you need vertical mount cupholders, I'll see what I have, if I have two, I'll swap them with you.
I have an "auxiliary" (passenger side) cup holder from a 2005 SSR for sale. It's in perfect condition, we took it out and never used it. If you'll send me your email address I'll send you a pic if you're interested. [non-supporting members must use PMs]

Replacing the console area that holds the cup-holders is not that hard to do and new ones have been available in the past. We replaced one side in my that was broken during a custom paint job. The MOST IMPORTANT thing needed during the process is the key to the console...without it you can not finish the job.

The car wash guys broke my passenger side holder off the console. I superglued it back on and it's holding fine.
