Depends on how far you want to drive in a day. Lordsburg, Deming, Las Cruces. I'd stay in LC instead of El Paso

2009 International Rally

Got the registration form printed and ready to mail as soon as I get a PM back from Johna with the mailing address. Mapquest shows 13 hours & 4 minutes, 843.17 miles. Probably will stop some where along the way. Mapquest route is mostly I-35. I will probably take US 69 down thru Eastern Oklahoma ( Muskogee - McAlester - Durant) to Sherman, TX then hook up with I-35 south of Dallas.

Of course everything is bigger in Texas but we're hoping that some of our Canadian friends will join us and maybe those in Europe or Australia will be able to make it as well. Hopefully we are giving everyone enough time so they can plan to attend.

flying in

Those that cannot make the drive and would rather fly in,

San Antonio would be the closest commercial airport and would allow you time to extend your stay in the river city or you could also fly into Austin, extend your stay, and see more of the greener part of the hill country.

Aiport codes for each respectively are SAT and AUS.

Perhaps the new "Bridge " from Australia will be completed by then. The SSR's can just drive over and come straight to Texas.
Still not sure about the European bridge. Will keep you updated!

Lets get signed up for the rally and send in the registration forms.
Remember, there is no pre-payment for first night room only a card number to hold it.
More information on agenda will be following in a couple of months as we finalize all the plans and activities.

First of all, we’d like to give a Texas sized “Thank You” to Lloyd and Gerry for all their hard work on the 2007 Rally. They only had about 6 months to pull it off and they did a great job getting it put together. I can only imagine the headaches they had in planning it from such a distance.

At this time, the Texas fanatics are very pleased to announce the

2009 International SSR Rally

Monday, June 22, 2009 thru Friday, June 26, 2009
to be held at the
YO Ranch Resort Hotel and Conference Center
Kerrville, Texas
Y.O. Ranch Resort Kerrville, Texas
Please Call to make Reservations: 1-877-967-3767

You may start booking rooms immediately. The SSR Fanatic Group rate pricing is as follows:
Single/Double -- $90.00 per night
Executive King -- $119.00 per night (have mini frig & larger bathrooms w/split shower & dressing area)
Family Suite -- $159.00 per night (has separate area w/bunk beds for kids)
1 Bedroom Suite -- $185.00 per night (have parlor area w/separate bedroom & small wet bar area in the parlor—also has sofa, large chair & table w/chairs)
2 Bedroom Suite -- $260.00 per night (same as 1 bedroom suite, but 2 bedrooms)
To book your room, call 1-877-967-3767 (1-877-YO-RESORT). Make sure to request the “National SSR Fanatics Club” rates. Please give them your screen name when you make the reservation. Rooms will be guaranteed with credit card, but there will be no charges to the card until you arrive. “No shows” on the date of arrival will be billed for the first night of the reservation only. Cancellations may be made up to 3 days prior to the rally with NO charges or penalties. If you would like to arrive on Sunday, June 21 you will still receive the rally group rate. May 22, 2009 is the cutoff date for the group rate. Any bookings after that date will be at the regular YO Resort Pricing.

We already have in the works tons of activities and cruises for you. Some of the best cruising roads and most beautiful countryside in Texas is located in the Kerrville area better known as the Texas Hill Country. There are some incredible day cruises planned on some of the best cruising roads in the state, lots of quaint little country towns to shop in with a huge selection of goods to offer, of course there is Luckenbach (if you’re a country music fan you won’t want to miss it), tons of museums, state parks and places of interest to see, as well as lots of night activities which will give you a true taste and feel for what Texas has to offer; including old west saloons, Texas dance halls, fine dining and fun ways to learn about and experience Texas. This is ONE rally you won’t want to miss.

Registration for the rally will be a non-refundable $40 per truck. If you register and cannot attend, you will still receive your “Cruise Texas” kit with tons of goodies included for you. You may register by sending your check and registration form below to Phoenix. Please PM Phoenix for the mailing address.

You can check out Phoenix's thread 2009 International Rally Registration Information to see if your registration has been recieved yet. Please let us know if you aren't on the list and should be.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to “Cruise Texas” at the 2009 International SSR Rally.
