so an aggie goes to Texas A&M and their mascot is a dog and they don't like longhorns. As opposed to the Univ of Texas, which I'll guess has something to do with longhorns and drink tea, the students not the longhorns
There's a big rivelry between the two, something about football and putting sht in each others boots

Oh Lloyd, I like what you did. Although I do rather fancy longhorns and barbwire

How to tell the difference in an Aggie and a Tea-sipper is that A&M's $#!+ is on the outside of the boot!

Do Ya think we can find ANY live music in Austin too???

Keith, after reading reviews I am not sure we as Texans can let you eat there, We will of course find a BBQ place that you will never forget. Many of the locals and others who travel to Austin frequently will be able to help us with that

You guys are going to do a great job. You won't be able to please everyone --- but that is their loss.

I, for one, agree that we should watch the price for the accomodations but I also like clean comfortable rooms where everyone can stay together and not be in several locations. I also prefer places that have more to do than sit in your room or eat in a restaurant. So, I am open to prices also.

Their is so much to do in the Hill Country. Of course a trip to the Little Creamery in Brenham (BlueBell) wouldn't be bad for us ice cream lovers either. I don't think we will have enough time to do all the things I love in the HIll Country!

Smokey & BlueSSR will be there!!!

Glenda

Accomodations will be top notch and we will find a price suitable for everyone. we don't want anyone have to go without food just to come to Texas
You will be so busy with all the activities available that you will have to come back to Texas many times to see and do it all(just in the Hill Country)

After searching 5 hours on the computer today, there maybe a compromise to settle where we stay. Update after we have a chance to see the 2 other hotels on our weekend visit
My notebook is filling up fast Thanks for the support

I have read this thread and support the Texas group in their efforts on our behave to put on a great national event. I have planned these things and they take alot of work. Let get excited over the cold beer and BBQ and not why is here or there. I look for to it and hope to be there from Washington state.
