2011 Route 66 International SSR Rally Raffle Donations

The Organizing Committee has been accumulating items to help fund this event.....We have some really cool items to date, but we need more. If you'd like to donate an item, we'll take it!

If your item is too large to bring to the Rally (or for a winner to take home in their SSR), please let me know and we'll state that (actual) shipping and handling costs are not included in your donation. Your donations will be recognized at the Banquet on Thursday night, unless you wish for your donation to remain anonymous.

Just as a teaser.....

CQQL SSR has donated an original Marc NY waterfall badge, one of five hundred EVER produced, and licensed by GM!

These badges have sold on the Forum and on eBay for north of $ 500.00 in the past.....

as soon as I get my truck back I'll test the fit of my "idea" for transport. Might have to slide it into the roof storage area

If I know I can take it then I'll get it made and ready to go for the September road trip

At the Banquet on Thursday night, September 8th, we'll be performing a raffle for donated items, and a silent auction for higher end donated items, noting the fair market values of those items.

We have had a good response from members with donations, but we can always use more, so that everybody goes away a winner!

I can confidently say that I will be bringing a piece I am making. I will do some more on it tomorrow morning and should hopefully have it finished in two weeks

We've had a great response to donations for the Rally, thanks so much to those that have donated!!!

As I stated before, we'll have a raffle and a silent auction for high end items, here are just a few of the items in the silent auction:

1 Original signed artwork by SSR members
2 An original, GM sanctioned Waterfall Badge (1 of 500 produced)
3 A set of OEM '03-04 auxiliary gauges (used)
4 A complete OEM exterior chrome package, as offered by GM. Shipping costs will be the responsibility of the winning bidder.
5 A signed "SSR Sets The Pace" framed lithograph, # 34/500, signed by Howard Kirchenbauer

And so many more cool items! The silent auction items will have a minimum starting bid price in order to ensure that the donated items get the $$$ return that they deserve. Bring your checkbook, you don't want to miss out on these very cool donations!

Proceeds from the donated raffle and silent auction items will go to offset costs for the 2011 Rally. If there is a surplus of funds after the dust settles, the surplus amount will be forwarded to the 2013 International Rally.

Nancy and I donated a couple of items, I would like to encourage Fanatics to dig out and donate some items for the raffle and auction. It is a good cause and a necessity to support the International Rallies.
