oh Yeah Flassh We are planning our trip to the Great North think I even talked Johna and Melvin into coming along and driving it with me looking forward to visiting you and all the other fanatics there next June!
We will definitely be there. Put our name on the list. How long in advance should we book our rooms?
John and Jeanne Koster
John and Jeanne won the draw for a free registration to the 2010 Beach Cruise for 2009 participants.
Rooms are available now, and some have already been booked. Prices aren't cast in stone yet, but are expected to be $5 more/room than last year. Lakeside rooms are a bit more than streetside rooms.
Adding John and Jeanne to the list.

Yes Diane is her name. Where do people fly in to when the come by the friendly skies?
Vancouver is the biggest airport with the most connections. It's about a 3 1/2 - 4 hour drive through some great countryside to get here.
Kelowna is closer, with reasonable connections, especially with WestJet. If you can get flights into Vegas, WestJet has cheap flights from there. It's about 1 hour north of the show.
Does that mean we don't get to see the great flag graphics?

My SSR: Pearl over UV tu-tone - "PurLple" w/ custom billet rallye wheels/baby moons & wide whitewalls, 4:56s
a second choice
Ray, as you know we stayed at The Travelodge this time around. The prices were about $70/nt cheaper than the Lakeside. I think it was about a 10 minute walk from the park where the SSR's are left for the show, and 3 blocks from the Lakeshore Drive where the "other" cars are lined up for the show. We thought it was decent and basic. The restaurant onsite was great and fast. And the rooms had mini-fridges!!!!! Unlike the last two years at the Lakeside where I had to use my wash pales to haul ice and chill the beer And the parking was great And another important thing, the rooms were extremely quite, we never heard anything thru the walls or ceiling
I took some photo's incase anyone was interested and wanted another idea for accommodation.

I was curious about the Lodge. I am also looking into renting a house for the week.

I would suggest having Diane fly into Kelowna - it's a much easier drive in to pick her up. Hanging around downtown Vancouver waiting for a flight then driving for 4 hours isn't as much fun as hanging out with Fanatics.

My SSR: 06 Silver over Sunburst Orange Custom Paint and Graphics by John Hardin
At the Texas Rally there were 2 free registrations sets and 2 free banquet sets given away to fanatics who attended the Texas Cruise Rally.
The winners were lloger and Mike in AZ.
You can add Jack & Sandi to the list. Got to keep the count going strong, we need to beat last year count of 7.

It says that it is returning, when I looked at the PCBC website last week. Too bad, as far as parking goes it really sucks. And the vehicles weren't all that impressive when we looked at them on the roof. We talked to Hank and Jim up there too, lucky we saw them up there cuz that's the only place we saw them.

The parkade isn't the greatest place to hold an auction, but Okanagan Lake park is booked by the Elvis Festival. The park would be a much better venue. Keep in mind that any new event takes time to develop, and I believe the Electric Garage was committed to a three year trial to develop it to full potential.
If they could get access to the park, with proper large tents, Electric Garage feels this could become the best auction venue in Western Canada, if it's tied in with the Beach Cruise.
We'll see how it all unfolds during the next several months. Remember that Barrett Jackson wasn't always the show you see now. It was a pretty small effort in its early days.
Meanwhile, we're trying to get permission to park SSRs in Rotary on Thursday night next year, with our own security.

Hi, John
We've held off the Registration and Schedule of Events for a bit longer till we get all the prices and details ironed out. The info went out a bit too early last year, and we had some issues when changes needed to be made. Not good to have 2 or 3 different prices and or times floating around.
I'll post as soon as the site is up and running and ready to accept registrations for next year.
