Most of us stay at the Penticton Lakeside Resort. It is walking distance to the car show and right on the lake. Best to take a City view room, as the Lake view rooms are over the outdoor lounge, (of course if you close down the lounge, the noise won't bother you).
where is everyone staying? looking at the hotels, and I have no clue so someone who has been to this run before give me some pointers
Iris and I were out for the evening - just got back and noticed your post. Only 8 months to go before the Beach Cruise!!!!
Tugboat is right - most will be staying at the Lakeside.
The info about the hotels is about halfway down the first post on this thread.
There are several other motels within easy driving/long walk distance from our reserved parking area in Rotary Park. Most of the Lakeshore Drive motels are booked a year out by the same groups, so hard to get into them. The Lakeside is a bit pricier than the others, but right next door to Rotary Park, so by far the best location. I've got 80 rooms reserved, so were OK for accomodations there.
Here's a link to the Lakeside's website, and the info about it from the first post.
I have booked 80 rooms at the Lakeside - Pricing is the same as for 2009
40 lakeview at $185 CDN per night and 40 either park view at $175/night or city view at $165/night.
Upgrade to an executive suite for $210/night based on availability.
You can book your rooms under SSR Fanatic, Group code 6930. Rooms are available Thursday through Sunday. The hotel's toll free number is 1 800-663-9400, ext 1
The Lakeside is very convenient, at the center of the Beach Cruise.
Alternative Accomodations. These are a 10 - 15 minute walk or a short drive away.
Ramada
Travelodge
Days Inn
Sandman Hotels
** There are links to these on the first post.

Flassh, If you get here at a time when we have not all gone somewhere else I can guarantee you will draw a crowd. Let us know and we will make it happen. I know RRR would be able to arrange something in his area.

Maybe we can join forces and make this summer The Great North American SSR Tour. We have close to 50 SSRs registered so far, and at least another 20 of the Northwest SSRs planning to make the trip tp Penticton.
The Beach Cruise finishes on the 27th, leaving a leisurely 7 days of touring, visiting and cruising on the trek south to Colorado for the Summer Rally.
